A website off a thread relating to all premier league transfers had his move down at around £5m rising to £7.5m based on appearances. Perhaps the "loan fee" is the removal of those appearance fees should he return here? Or, cunningly, we have an injury based fee tied into the loan. Similar to appearance fees but, one injury they keep him for 6 months, 2 a season, 3 forever.

Perch and Smith both played against Villa last season and even they were comfortable! Maybe we should try that combo again
Back on topic, I feel sorry for Xisco, he was probably given a lot of false promises when he signed, especially given the size of his fee. We have ruined his career basically :/

I'd happily have my career ruined for £50k a week for the last 4 years

The forgotten man, I feel sorry for him in a way. 9 league games for us since signing, 10th is a big fee so we stopped playing him. Never had a chance.
He is still a Newcastle player. The reason he wasn't included in that article is because he is injured, as he has been most of the time when away on loan.
He's not injured (finally), Deportivo have him listed as a probable substitute for tomorrow.

This Xisco stuff set me thinking. Did we sell or give away Albert Luque ( he of the brilliant goals before he landed at SJP) and for additional brownie points , how is he doing now?
He's absolute ****e and was a royal waste of money. I think they've either forgotten about him or they've decided to give him away. Every club drops a clanger now and again.
