I picked xbox after the ps2 and it's done everything I've asked it to do. Whether you can do it on the ps3, i didn't care. I connect my laptop and stream **** I downloaded earlier. I use the apps watch live baseball or iplayer. Obviously the games are great. Not had much of an issue with xbox live.

They're both decent machines and both will be decent machines.

The one thing that sways me is the controller. I cannot ****ing stand the playstation controller. the analog sticks make no sense next to each other.
 
it's funny you say that because I can't stand the Xbox controller it's like trying to play with a breeze block , ultimately it's comes down to titles for me and playstaion has the edge
 
I'm excited about the Xbox but that's maybe cause I love the achievements and they are going to carry over. As well as gamer tag and other bits. I think the reveal was better than play station as at least they remembered the console! The 360 made me an Xbox fan having previously played playstation and I agree that the 360 controller is miles better. As a fan of gaming I did feel I missed out on a couple of titles on the PS3 but as a sky subscriber I love the on demand service the Xbox has so for me I think it'll be Xbox one. I better start saving up.

Exactly, the people complaining about the DRM probably play FIFA quite happily with its online pass on BOTH CONSOLES as it is right now. Also, just because Sony have not announced some form of DRM for the PS4 yet doesn't mean they won't have it.

I play XBOX at the moment as that is what my friends play and that is all that really matters for me due to the fact the consoles are so similar. I think that the XBO will do better on release than the PS4 due to the fact that XBOX has a larger user base right now that will be more interested in having continuity in terms of the operating system and controller. The market for used games and rentals is already seriously reduced so I doubt it will really have much of an effect on the games industry, the only real issue for me is that you can't take a game over to a friend's house.

I will be buying the XBO because that is what my friends will have. The consoles will be so similar that it comes down to personal preference in terms of the layout and controller.
