I now feel I have this comp as good as fully covered. If Seann ever looks as though he has a chance of winning I only need a small stake to completely cover myself

    Louisa 428.5
    Che 148.5
    4th Impact 470.5
    Lauren 428.5
    Anton -951.5
    Seann -31.5
    Monica 428.5
    Mason 768.5
    Max -2571.5
    Keira -5701.5
    Reggie -5771.5

And I have not needed to back the favourite

I am so confident that Anton has no chance that I will lay for another 200 at odds of 33/1 (the highest odds available anywhere I can find)

She was very good last night Dan. I should think she's the talk of your local right now.

Just watched Fleur. Should have won last year and would walk this year's.

A bit more laying to do later

Best price available for Monica is 50/1 so I'll lay her for 100 (liability 5000)

    Louisa 728.5
    Che 448.5
    4th Impact 770.5
    Lauren 728.5
    Anton -651.5
    Anton -6071.5
    Monica -4371.5
    Mason 1068.5
    Max -2271.5
    Reggie -5471.5

So I just need Anton, Monica, Max and Reggie to bow out and I couldn't care who wins

I stand to win most from Mason winning but that isn't going to happen. I wanted to lay him off at around 20/1 but he drifted

Louisa, Lauren and 4th Impact would all produce a net profit of over 700
    Che almost 450.

Laying Reggie at 61/1 was not the best idea as I could have laid them at less than half those odds now <doh>

Good job it's not real money CH. Although I'd be sitting pretty if it was. This year has been very difficult because, for me, there is not one outstanding performer. Also some have improved and some haven't. I think Keira actually got worse, singing the wrong songs and a bit shaky as well. My main, original, bet was 4th Impact but I've been disappointed with them as well.

Seann is well off out of it. He should be in the West End

A lot of money for Reggie it would seem (now best priced 14/1). Please NO.

    What a waste

Mason Noise out to 66/1. My speculative bet at 33/1 with a view to laying off looks rather silly now. Should have laid off when best priced 20/1 <doh>

My betting on this year's competition has been a joke, saved only by laying. No early betting next year.

Nice one. You could now lay him off for your original stake and effectively have a free bet at around 20/1. I know I would.

Can't believe Mason Noise has gone out before Anton. There is absolutely nothing X Factor about Anton. He has a good voice but he should be in the West End. Maybe, if he would leave his crutch alone, Mason might have got more votes <laugh>

Lauren not so good tonight; wrong song. Reggie beginning to wear a bit thin for me but won't be going out next week. Anton must go next; surely

Just listened again. Louisa was definitely the best act of the night. Probably her best performance so far which can't be very encouraging for the rest. Che is a class act but couldn't go over the moon about his original version of Yesterday. It was good but, for me, there as something missing. With his voice he could have made it great. However, it was a very boring song made less boring. Louisa and Che definite finalists. I'm slightly worried about the popularity of Reggie giving them the edge over Lauren who, for me, had a bad song choice last night. She needs a good song to see her in the final. 4th Impact are good but not good enough to make the final. Probably at least as good as Girls Aloud at the same stage though

Mason Noise is a natural and, with the right management, could make it..

    Bye Anton

What was Che doing in the bottom 2? FFS get Reggie out. They are getting too popular. Bloody 10 a penny rappers. Good fun but I need them out so that I can relax <laugh>
