Running a bit behind this week so I can skip past Mel B. She really does do my head in. Paul opened. Doesn't do much wrong but there's something missing. Just doesn't have the X factor Nexy Jay. Considering he couldn't talk yesterday, amazing. He is the class act. Will be criminal if he goes out. Don't think he will Lauren. One of my favourites but a bit disappointing. Really struggling on some notes. Only the Young. Terrible. Can't think why the dark haired girl thinks she is so good. Singing lessons might help. The other one isn't much better Enrique, no Ben. Should be safe Stevie. What can I say? Can always rely on him to completely miss a few notes Stereo Kicks. Very good tonight. Should be safe Fleur. Star of the show. This girl has star quality, something missing in most acts. Andrea. There's no doubt he can sing but there is something missing Bottom 2 for me are: (10 minute pause.....) Only the Young Stevie One of those will go and joining the other in the sing off: I reckon Paul or (hate to say it) Lauren - she was off form tonight. But neither of these will be in danger in the sing off.
As a betting proposition now I would not be confident in any of the top 4 winning at their current odds. Jay James at 33/1 and the improving Stereo Kicks at 40/1 look the stand out bets with a view to laying off as soon as the odds drop (assuming they will).
Oh dear. Just looked at the odds for the bottom 2 and I see the bookies have: Paul Akister 2/5 Jay James 8/13 Stereo Kicks 3 Stevi Ritchie 3 Only The Young 7/2 And next elimination Paul Akister 7/10 Jay James 18/5 Stereo Kicks 15/2 Stevi Ritchie 9 Only The Young 9 Surely they have that wrong? 9/1?
The sing off last night was superb, both very good. Agree with everyone about Mel B, even last night gave Jay no credit for the way he sang in the sing off. Jay now out to 40/1
Just watched the Results. I skipped past Mel B because I can't stand her. There are a few people on TV I just can't bear to see or hear; and she is one of them. Can't believe OTY were not in the bottom 2. Still, if Jay can escape with a sore throat, he should be OK next week. Surely next week OTY must go and it's probably time for Stevie also. So I best look at the odds now.
I'm struggling to see an individual act that stands out, as indicated right at the start. But I'm hoping one comes good and I still can't see Andrea as a clear fav. At evs that has to be a lay bet. He can't win it. can he?
Louis isn't so daft. He obviously told the girls to keep quiet tonight. They can't sing and by shutting them up they might just about survive. But how long can a 4 piece last when 2 can't sing? Not very long. I want to see Ben doing Enrique's Hero
On tonight's performances I'll have to agree with the bookies on the bottom 2, Jay and Stevi. Very clever keeping those girls quiet tonight. I don't think the dark haired girl liked being kept in the background but it had to be done. Well done Louis; smart move. Andrea on the drift, out to 6/4 with one
Got Jay wrong. He could be gone tomorrow. Although if Stevi is in the bottom 2 (which he probably will be) I doubt the judges will keep him in. Based on that logic the 2/1 for Stevi (BS) to be the next eliminated looks reasonable
Stereo Kicks are down to 25/1 with some bookies but unfortunately the odds on the Exchange don't enable a lay off yet. Just have to hope they shorten a bit to get them laid off.
Just waiting for Stevi to finish and prove the bookies had it completely wrong offering 2/1. He's now long odds on.
What! Can't believe the judges kept Stevi in, especially as Simon didn't. Best bet of the comp up in smoke. Anyone who saw that coming after the sing off was known would have got fantastic odds for Jay going out. Unbelievable. Blody Mel B and Cheryl Whotsit did that out of spite.
