I had a little dabble at 25/1 - Thought his version of 500miles was good. Lauren was amazing though and I'm gonna have a little bet on her now

I think there are 2 standout acts in the competition them being PAUL AKISTER and Only The Young. My preference for the winner though would be by far the former as I doubt the latter will attract enough votes or have huge mainstream appeal.

12’s for old boy Akister looks very big as he has been hugely impressive in both live shows and you get the impression, unlike several others, there is still a lot, lot more to come once he overcomes his nerves and lack of confidence.

Of the rest Andrea Fausinini seemed to go ‘very strange’ and almost in meltdown when Sir Simon Cowell gave him some quite minor critiscm at the weekend. This doesn’t bode well for his long term future. That Lauren filly is not that outstanding in my opinion. Plus her speaking voice is absolute horrific (apologies to the whole of Essex) and you do have to wonder if she will that popular with 12-24 year fillies who cast a huge proportion of the votes in the contest (similar to Ella Henderson 2 years ago and she was the standout performer that term by a billion miles). Ben Haenow, Fleur East and Jay James are good but not that good. Whilst the rest should go out over the course of the next 4 or 5 weeks.

Should have taken the 10/1 when I advised CH. She could well end up fav. Andrea is not my idea of the winner. He is only fav on the back of one good performance before any of the others had done anything to impress. He's not improved a bit but Lauren is coming on a bundle.

Like Barney says she could end up being like Ella - Who incidentally is going over to 'crack' America and really should have won the 2012 edition

The 'talent' this year is poor indeed .... Stevie may well go a couple more weeks .. the only interest seems to be between the cat-fighting judges ...thank goodness for the fast-forward button .. I'm losing interest by the week - Cowell will need to a BIG Sunday Mirror story to get this show back on peoples agenda ... we are watching a format die in front of our eyes ..

Chronic was the word I used stick. Unbearable. Difficult to understand how they have made it this far. I found myself talking to the TV saying send them both home. Judges' voting is a farce as they keep their mentor in however bad they are. More interested in keeping their acts in than keeping the best acts in.

Watching (almost) live tonight (only because the wife has 2 bloody programs on record so I can't watch the racing <steam>)
Ben opens the show and will stay in
Lola next. Chronic and seriously in danger (judges don't agree)
Fleur. Oh dear. Shaky start. Great performer but voice a bit shaky. Should be safe
Jack. Good night (unless there are a lot of loyal Northerners voting)
    Jay. Very good. Safe
Andrea. Oops. Nodded off. Can't be bothered to rewind. I assume he'll be safe.
    Lauren. Safe
    Paul.

Nodded off again - Great contest. Paul not brilliant (from what I can remember) but probably safe.

Stevie. Oh dear. Will he, won't he?

Oh that's it. Did I miss any?

**** I slept through 2 complete acts, and adverts.

Jack will definitely go. If 2 go he will be joined by one of:

    • Only the Young (based on last week's sing off - missed them tonight)
    • Stevie (bless him)
    • Lola

OMG. Nodded off again and will have to wind back for the results.

Jack gone. That was the easy bit. Someone else goes tomorrow.

Back him now CH. 14/1 and has a better chance now than he did when he was 9/2

I still can't see Andrea Faustini winning. It's much easier picking those that can't win:
    Absolute certs to go
    • Only the Young
    • Stevie (bless him)
    • Lola

    Then Paul Akister

The one that is over priced is Jay at 14/1. I can see those odds shortening over the next couple of weeks.

    PS 15/1 on betfair

That was a decent bet. Her and Jack.

I don't understand how that group Only the Young can get more votes than Stereo Kicks. They are chronic; neither of the girls can sing. They have to go.

I knew Lola had gone as soon as it was sent to deadlock, Cowell knew who had the least amount of votes as there is no way he's have risked sending the band he created home yet.

Only the Young aren't great, they will be out soon enough and I'm sure Stevi's run will soon come to an end.

Couldn't agree more. I have got to the stage where I just can't stand another word from that xxxxxxxxxxxxx Mel B. If she's on the panel next time I might have to give the show a miss. She is the most annoying cow. And Cheryl is a moody so and so. The show is no longer about the talent; it's about each judge trying to keep their acts in. I say scrap the team concept and just have a public vote plus 4 unbiased judges to save one of the bottom two, if they think one should be saved..
