It was both, the Udders not only thought the measures were completely unnecessary, but were rather pissed off with the loss of revenue too.
This extremely small budge from the cops is probably more insulting than not moving at all. There'll be no boycott though as too many old bastards who frequent the coaches will board as normal, pack-up and all.
In the company of young turds wearing replica shirts over a normal top like they're special needs and can't remember which garment goes under which.
Absolute bollocks, there's no difference apart from the extra tickets, a whopping 200!!!!!! The plod are still treating City fans as third class citizens. Total ****e!!!!
****ing bullshit. I'm going to Town v Boro on Tuesday night and having a few beers before the game. That's as much of a local derby as our game and is later at night, but have no restrictions. It's pathetic.
This is probably as far as they're willing to budge, at least we won't have to deal the the WYP next season.
Is this really a compromise? Less than half an allocation, still having to go on buses and being babysat. I have to say I'm really disappointed with the club through this whole situation, they've had a fortnight to gauge opinions, all the fans support a boycott so they should have gone along with it.
Just say no. Vote with your feet. Embarrass them. Hit them in the wallet. They won't do that again any time soon !
As someone on CI pointed out, the 200 increase is insulting, they might as well have increased it by 10 to 1,510 tickets, at least it would have been funny.
They say they have compromised, how, the end product is still the same for me, i won't be able to go in a pub to watch Soccer Saturday or go to Maccy Ds. Yet i have no criminal record, i barely drank alcohol i have only ever had a steward tell me off once, and that was for standing up away at Leeds for christ sake. Takes the biscuit really.
That's my main issue with it. I'm not a lawyer and couldn't really give a **** about "liberties" and what not. It's just the fact that they've taken the away day experience from me, the football's only part of it.
It will take some organising from the club to have people at the service station to issue tickets to everyone arriving. I would think this is the first time this has been done with any club. Really when you have paid £29 for a ticket and then get treated like that it just isn't right. Presumably the buses will not set off in time for anyone to do anything other than go into the game so it isn't much of a compromise and it will be interesting to see if there are any Police at the service station to oversee things.
