That's not correct. Hull City were not consulted about the restrictions at all, the away team have no input, it's between the home team, the police and the local council safety officer(on this occasion, the council and home team didn't either, OB just said that's it, take it or leave it). Equally, we played no part in negotiations to get 200 extra tickets and cars left at HMS, we've only ever requested a lifting of the restrictions. It was only the dopey councillor who got busy with the extra tickets. Nick Thompson wrote a very good letter to the police and the council as soon as we were made aware of the restrictions, but there was absolutely **** all he could do about it, he could no more effect the policing of that game, than he could Derby v Bristol. The club have been very supportive, the only way they could have done anything further, is by rejecting the tickets completely and Bruce didn't want that to happen.
Well that's that then, Bruce out. He doesn't understand the fans and doesn't give a **** about the area or the people. And he plays Alex Bruce in midfield.
I think the club made some form of statement to the effect that they considered a total return but choose against it as they felt that they would be as guilty as WYP in limiting choice and independent decisions - they also said that the manager and players felt that they needed the support - so a bit like Sparta, they are getting it in hundreds instead of thousands. I am pleased you continue to correct these misconceptions as we have a club to be proud of.
