    Charlton just beat Portsmouth 2-1.
At least we rescued a point and kept up our scoring run.

Have a great time tomorrow and many congratulations on reaching this milestone of age. Our team seem to have a bit of Man Utd about them.....in the way to me they are 'past masters' of getting something out the game when all seems lost. To me this is a sign of a great team....doesn't matter whatever level you play if you can develop this trait as a team, a club then you know everyone is fighting to the core. We have gained so much this season that we had lost before....maybe today it was just a draw but in another way it was a massive victory....... :)
Remember even at 70 you can still go wild on your birthday!!!

Not at all sure what happened with Honeyman, was he trying to speed the game up and along the way someone took offence? Dunno but I'm not sure what warranted the red cards I didn't see any punches thrown or anything like that so maybe it would be rescinded if appealed. You can't give out reds purely for aggressive behaviour can you?

Almost another assist for Leadbitter, it won't be recorded as one but without him taking the shot and doing it well we'd have lost.

Not really sure what happened - Honeyman was just trying to get the ball back quickly for a Sunderland throw. I think it was something that was said, he took offence and went after their player.

Here's the bad challenge on Watmore

Looked to me like they lobbed the ball towards our dugout, Honeyman was pissed off and ran towards their players before stopping (maybe because some of them are twice his size!) Unless there's something else it's much ado about nothing IMO, he should have got a yellow and that was that.

Yeah it's usually a yellow for disturbing the peace and a red for a punch or headbutt etc. Didn't see anything like that so an appeal looks in order to me.

Wycombe played like that up here. Barnsley will play 2 games more than us and have the frigging luck of an own goal to help them to win, come on lads this is the titanic game of the season on Tues we CAN win there, be strong though.

Ref must have had a very hot face, with all that wool covering his eyes.

New legal tactic: Press high up the pitch, push, shove etc. When opposition break, take turns "twisting your ankle", fall down and hold your head or whatever, and get the ref to stop the game.
Standup, limp for 2 steps, sprint away.
Meantime get the rest of the team back behind the ball.

Really, I thought that the ref stopping play was only for head injury? Otherwise up to the players to play on or put it out.

I know bad reffing cuts both ways, but if your tactics are to break up play, time waste and foul, then it maybe doesn't hurt quite so much.

On another referee decision: going down our right, player gets tripped, Leadbitter tries to take a quick free kick, and the player that went on to try to cut Duncs leg off, picked up the ball and threw it away. This is a straight mandated yellow, and he would have been off then (already booked)
Ref just wags his finger, and WW get their defence back in shape.

I tried really hard about ten years ago to become indifferent to my club, I'm still here on the edge of my seat every time we play and thank God this season we've only lost two games because loosing still spoils my whole weekend.
once it's in the blood you just can't help it.
Still it could be worse we could all be Newcastle fans :emoticon-0148-yes:
