Watmore starting is a plus for me, some pace up top so their defence won't be able to push up to high for fear of the ball. Over the top

It'll be interesting to see him back on the wing (that's if we are playing him there). Ross kept putting him up front and I think if he's picking the ball up deep and having a go at the fullbacks we might see him being more effective. As it was Ross decided he was a striker and never saw him running from deep which is what his game is really about

If he gets another knock he’s probably had it, but if he can get back anywhere near where he was it’s like a top new signing.

He’s playing for a contract as well of course.

Indeed,he is just as likely to be walking off the pitch before 90 is up injured as he is ANYTHING else

The team in the Op was my guess - with not much team news to go on <laugh>

Think some are reading the op and not realising it was done on Thursday so that team/squad was a complete guess

Spot on - all the talk was about the manager / takeover - no mention of any injuries
It was my guess - not too far off though.

It is a risk to start Watmore, the lad is too brave for his own good, but too good an option for managers to ignore as its a win win for them. I would have him on the bench to-day with a 4/4/2 line up to hit them quickly on the break.

I've never rated him. Before his injuries either.

Absolutely no first touch or brain about him.

I'm generally a happy clapper mate. Just never rated Watmore at all.

I'd love him to prove me wrong.

I said this ‘over the road’ as well. The fact that McLaughlin is on the bench is nothing to do with tactics or ability. It is everything to do with Parkinson sending a very powerful message to McLaughlin that there is a new sheriff in town.
