Freeman has always promised to come good but never quite been able to hold down a first team spot. Good league 2, decent league 1, not up to it championship.

I was thinking of the big lad who got up to head the goal against Cardiff, that being Wheeler. I have taken my rating off Freeman

Ah Wheeler yes. He is definitely a GA favourite, seems to play most games. I think he has recently moved from the front 3 to the midfield 3. Good player who pops up with the odd goal.

Interesting, you have 2 of my 5s on the bench (McCarthy and McCleary)

Overall it looks quite a strong squad that may have romped League 1 last year

If we get even stronger replacements there might be a glimmer of hope

    McCarthy and
McCarthy and Grimmer was a close call, McCleary also seems very good, I just couldn’t fit him in a fully fit squad.

Well that's good news if he isn't good enough to start.

What's this with James Clark? Is that the one we signed from Chelsea? Don't think we've seen him

I think he is a defender, yes came from Chelsea. We got a group of 5 youngsters at the same time, only Mehmeti has played so far. I assume Clark would cover JJ.

I would agree with that Mowgli, from the limited times I have seen him play, he looked like the only midfield player who could put his foot on the ball & see a pass of any distance. Which is not Gape's, Thompson, or Bloomfield's strongest points.

Seems a bit strange having a practice match 4 days before you play them in the league on next Saturday

Why is that? Is he better than what we have, or are you thinking of stronger cover, or both?

My top 3 in the midfield would be Gape, Thompson and Adeniran. Oroborh would closely follow them with Wheeler. So I guess cover ahead of Blooms and Pattison who I don’t think are Championship quality.
