I'm glad we didn't go out last night with the team we put out. I'd agree with Proud that going out in the next round to a big club wouldn't be a bad thing, unless we use the League Cup to run out some of the younger squad members or those needing match fitness. The away kit is dreadful! Why isn't it white or yellow? It'll be great on a foggy, wet, grey night in in winter....ready made excuse after a defeat. Think we've heard that somewhere before.......
That's the spirit boys ... wouldn't do to win anything now ... the two finalists last season had **** season's overall ... one got promoted and the other being in Europe .... **** me, the youth of today ... priceless.
The two finalists of the FA cup had **** season's overall too... One finished 11 points off the leaders in a league they had won the previous season, and the other got relegated...
Nice spin Jack - Man City have a champions league place but had a **** season ... Merseyside would kill for the same **** sandwich of course LOL ... and Wigan could well bounce back stronger whilst playing in Europe - something their fans could only have dreamt about ten years ago ... not only is your glass half empty, someone has farted in it mate!
Meh, Cardiff got knocked out both cups in the first round they played last season, didn't seem to do them any harm...
... and of course they wouldn't have done just as well with good cup runs included? ... how did Man United ever do that treble eh? .. all about opinions my boy ... I won't be changing mine (nor expect anyone to change theirs) I believe success breeds success and winning is a habit ...
As I said I'm glad we didn't go out & I agree that winning brings a team confidence, however, I just don't have the League Cup as a priority. Yes, Man Utd did the Treble but with a squad that was already strong & capable of winning leagues. One step at a time for us. It's a long time since I've been mistaken for a 'youth' so you're now my favorite poster Fosse
