Yep good point earned in a game i dont look forward to. Cant stand the sight of the plastic franchise fans.
very very happy with that late equaliser: well deserved. Nikki Bull deserves a massive mention, he played superbly and saved a penalty (which never looked like a penalty, ref had a shocker)
totally agree, should have sent off lewington for hands in someones (basey?) face, plus he was booked then later kicked the ball away.... penalty was not a penalty and if it was he should have sent mccoy off. apparently karl robinson is complaining to the FA about bad refereeing...
Agree with the ref comments he was very poor and lost control of the game after about 5 minutes. At least the Lino flagged for a few decisions or we wouldnt have got any decisions. Eastmond was the one lewington pushed in the face it was a joke he stayed on the pitch. Then later on in the 1 at half he took I think strevens out with no attempt at the ball. Great result but stand out performances from Eastmond bull and Doherty ! I'm starting to believe we can pull this off !
From the commentary it sounded as though Doherty was outstanding. Did he get mom? Sounded as though Basey had an uncomfortable time, particularly in the first half.
Ours yesterday sounds a complete t*sser - he awarded two bounce-ups after fouls, firstly after Wagstaff was very seriously hacked in the first half and also after the red card in the second - completely incompetent. Bizarrely, he's a Yorkshire referee - makes you wonder how that was allowed to happen. I had a leisurely bike ride just now and read several Sundays over a coffee and three out of four had Bull as League One GK of the Week, must have had a blinder yesterday. Rocky, that clip is excellent - you're right Ron, very atmospheric. Hope your Amanda's recovering well.
Thanks Tewk. She's as hard as nails but it has shaken her up. Out of hospital now but sleeping most of the time. Rocky's video cheered her up. I might get a clip of the accident. I was videoing at the time. Needless to say, the video ends with the word "****"
Yesterday was one of my favourite ever goal celebrations with Bull running along the terrace high fiving everyone and then jumping around in front of the Frank Adams. Briliant stuff. I agree that the ref was awful, equally so for both sides, and stopped the flow of the game for needless things too often. Franchise had much the better of the chances and should've been out of sight but for Bull and some poor finishing. But we played well throughout and kept going and a draw was a fair result on balance of play. There is a lot of hard work ahead but belief is back in this team at last.
