I suggest you do an 'advanced search' and look through the posts of Leeds-18 on this board if you think my default mode is anti-Leicester.

Wrong. I never said it was a wind-up at all and maintain that it isn't. Just a thought that occurred to me when Google linked me to your site earlier (was searching for 'Leeds United' and it brought up the Beckford article). Was a bit shocked to discover that the site still has this generic format which every club seems to use.

Umm, me I guess. If that makes me some kind of sad act then so be it. I use this forum to share thoughts which you might consider trifling, and I plan to continue doing so.

Nobody cares about what I think? Why have people replied then? Dyer, Proud, Ed, Stourbridge, Emilio and NZ all discussing the topic I intended to be discussed. So maybe you should take your apathy up with them too. Give up on the paranoia, eh? The big bad Leeds fan isn't out to get you, just to discuss something I found a tad odd. I'm glad to see it's being debated in good spirits with the exception of two or three ad hominem merchants.

while Leeds United do have a fantastic website that is updated regularly, this point is so irrelevant and grasping for straws. Donald, this is a bit embarrassing isn't it?

I don't even like our website. Terrible spelling, uninformative, LUTV is dire and it's updated nothing like as regularly as Man U, Arsenal and Man City sites which are visited by a similar number of people.

Like I said, I'm hardly grasping for straws to wind Leicester fans up, just pointing out my thoughts! You'd have thought that since the lucrative takeover, transfer spending, televizing in foreign countries and general boost in profile since the Thai ownership began, they'd have moved out of this generic website format. If I wanted to rile them, surely I'd have brought up something more meaty like transfer spending or their stadium or their some of their fans' mentality. If anything, I was trying to build bridges slightly by having a good-natured discussion about something we all sort of agreed on.

I like our website, although certain parts of it do get left a bit neglected. The academy, reserves and squad pages don't get kept up to date, but the rest of it is at the very least significantly better than the terrible template used for every other team.

Edited my post since you posted... yeah the news outside of the first XI is badly neglected in my opinion. There could be a 'loan watch' feature, some opinion and analysis from in-house commentators instead of the usual banal drivel from LUTV-interviewed players and they could also have some historical information segments, for instance. Anyway, I might create a thread on our board to discuss that. If people don't think that's too mundane a subject for this forum!

Oh and Lesta Gangsta, nice to see a fellow Curb Your Enthusiasm fan! I won't be doing a '**** bow' to you to apologize for this thread, if you've been keeping up to date with Series 8. ;)

    Leeds-18.

I'm sure there is nothing you can do on your website that we can't do on our own.

I much, much prefer our neat and stylish design to the mismatch scatter effect you seem to use.

What does views have to do with it aswell?

This website looks like **** but I still come on it everyday if it is the design you are referring to.

You are clutching at straws, trying to make yourself seem better for some reason.

Gradel has left you for peanuts.
Schmeichel has left you for peanuts.
    Bates is still in charge.
Beckford has joined a team in the same league as you.

When will you realise that nobody gives a **** about little old Leeds anymore?

Please leave, you are an embarrassment to Leeds fans (which says a hell of a lot).

I've already said I don't like our website, though the visitor rate which you denounce would seem to be at odds with the statement that no-one cares about little old Leeds any more. :D But that's just taking the thread further off topic and I wouldn't want that to happen.

Anyway, I might disagree with your owners' methods but I do hope Leicester return to the Premiership and I wish you the best of luck for the season, as I have done on here before. I have no desire to 'make myself better' - I freely (though begrudgingly) admit that Leicester's squad is in nearly every way superior to Leeds' - so please give your immature cack a rest, will you? I remember the days when you were a fun WUM on our board and didn't take yourself so seriously. Remember that 'Leeds' thread full of you, Holty and Millens cracking out the laughs? Good times.

Well since you've gone to the trouble of analysing my response whilst resisting the opportunity to engage in further WUMing (apart from the bits about paranoia, which I'll overlook - hardly surprising one has a low expectation of Leeds fans with the amount of time you all spend on here telling us how s*** Kasper is etc etc), then I'll venture my opinion.

Yes, the website is very similar to many others - including Premier League clubs such as West Brom, Wigan and Norwich. Our local rivals Forest and Derby also use the format. So as long as it's not worse than teams we regard as competition, then it should be seen as a very low priority for the club and for fans. I always prefer unofficial anyway - more likely to dish the dirt or engage in speculation. Like Emilio, I only use the site to ensure that new signings are confirm by the club.

    You clearly misunderstand.

Leeds have many fans, always have done and always will.

When I said no one cares I think anyone with a mental age over 7 could work out I mean everyone apart from their own fans.

Does it not occur to you that you're own fans go on your site?

Shame you can't sill your ground though, so many fans and so many empty seats... For such a massive club too... <laugh>

That's more like the AKCJ I know! :)

Myself, I also tend to use independent sites for my main reading, but at a club like mine where fan-club interaction is kept to a strict minimum (and when it does occur, such as at On The Road meetings, is censored), I'd welcome any sort of improvement on the amount of information the club would officially put out.

Ha ha! I haven't seen any of series 8 yet - as with most TV shows, I tend to wait until the whole series is available and watch it over a week or so. Series 7 was the best yet for me, so looking forward to 8! Isn't it about finished now?

Yeah it's on episode eight now, watch it online myself since I can't handle waiting for my next dose of Larry. Look out for the **** bow when you do watch it; great moment!

Leeds-18, you are not a WUM, some of your comments have been quite constructive on here and you are just on the right side of banter.

The club website is **** and does look like that of a lot of other clubs', it must be a cheap alternative to building and maintaining one of your own

leicester-ed, I pay $8.00 a month which is less than a poubd a week to you. Within two days of a game highlights are on plus interviews. we do get the football league show which here is 30 minutes of goal highlights only so I find it good value.

I think certain Leicester fans have over-reacted on this thread. I think it's a perfectly ok point to question the average website which just so happens to be ours......

all highlights are put on bbc sport though... so what does it offer?? Just match highlights and interviews? Is it extended highlights or usual 3 mins like bbc?
