World war 3 will be a cyber war, It`s much cheaper and more damaging to take out a country via computers just think what a rouge hacker could do to the utilities of a enemy country.
I agree that the definition of WW has changed, but you have to take into account how much of the world resources went into WW2, compared to the wars we're in now. Surely the Cold War would have been WW3 following the line of thought that all the wars were linked in a political way, and there were conflicts all over the globe, maybe even more widespread than WW2. When WW3 happens (if it does), and if the same % of industry/countries resources were put into armament, with the superpowers involved (Europe, China, US, Russia), we'd notice it

There have been wars going on constantly since WW2, so technically it never ended, unless you look at it as the end of a conflict between most of the world's superpowers, which it was. I'm using the logic of past wars because if you're going to label a conflict 'WW3', there needs to be some sort of guideline/level that it needs to reach. Two of the world's superpowers aren't involved in any major land-wars, so we can't call these times WW3. I do see your point about my occupation remark, I was just trying to compare the scale of the wars we're involved in now compared to the past.
but most of those hundreds of thousands are in rubbish countries so they dont really count. until we get pictures of a burning of a mickey D's in the middle of a warzone its not an important war
