The gap gets wider with time. This has nothing to with our rich owners.
The gap between the top clubs and the smaller clubs does not get bigger because of us. The gap between us and the clubs smaller than us gets bigger in theory, but it would get bigger if we were promoted without rich owners as well. That would be the case back in the 50s if teams got promotion.
You're the one who is too short sighted, all you can see is jealousy that we have money and that is why you are complaining about the gap getting wider. You fail to understand that we are not making the gap bigger on a wider scale.
The point is, all your rants stem from jealousy, and don't try to protest otherwise. If it was you you wouldn't give a **** about other clubs in your division, you'd remember all the stick you got when you were relegated to league one and when you failed in the play-offs twice. You'd feel you deserved a bit of luck and it was just your turn. We are doing what any non-suicidal club would do if it had the chance, it's dog eat dog in football. Who's gonna say 'nah, we'd rather stay poor, administration was fun and the Championship is where we want to be'?
That's the way it goes, that's football. We could be successful for a while, we could not. Every dog has his day. At some point we won't be rich anymore and someone else will. At some point, every moderately successful club will stop being moderately successful and other clubs will overtake them. Is that wrong to enjoy living in the moment? I bet your arse you wouldn't find it boring if you were in the Premiership, with large crowds, good football and the hope of winning trophies. What I found boring was the years between 2004-07. Lower midtable finishes.
Stop confusing jealousy with moral superiority.
