Be careful what you wish for. When you came in for him before he was playing like a class player, but recently he has been utter ****e. I don't know if he was just running on adrenaline from his comeback or if you lot unsettled him, but either way he has been useless. He's young and has some talent so I hope he stays and turns into a decent player like he has shown he can be in about 10 games.
I'm not saying I want him. I'm saying I think Nigel will. I do think we may have turned his head though.
He would have more competition for places if he comes here therefore he would have to play well to stay in the team
I think IF Stewort came in then NP would expect him to play better than Gally next season, no point in gettin him if hes not any better.
I reckon about 3M would probably get him. If will sell Mills for about 2M then then i dont think Nigel would have a problem paying a bit more for Chester. But who knows, he may not want him and may have someone else lined up
We'll swap you Mills for Chester, although i can't see Chester being happy when we already have 3 very capable centre backs and he'd haveto fight for a place.
I can see two of Mills, Bamba and SSL being sold this summer. Probably SSL and Mills with Chester being bought. Bamba, Morgan, Chester and Taft. Not bad. Two massive wages taken off replaced by a decent one and a youth player.
I dont think Taft will be good enough. Plus i think Tom Parkes is probably ahead of him. I dont think St. Ledger will go now but i reckon Bamba and Mills will
I actually think Nigel likes Bamba. If you think about it, he's put him in the side at every opportunity and I do think that Bamba will improve because of NP being the manager. Definitely Mills and possibly St Ledger leaving - I can't help but feel that him being out of the side now, so close to the Euro's, is a ticking time bomb.
St. Ledger has played everygame since the Forest home match in the FA Cup. Apart from the last 2 games so he has had alot of game time. Im still not 100% convinced St. Ledger. I think we could get better still but he would still make decent back up but he has shown he isnt prepared to fight for a shirt. But when push came to shove he did want to fight. I think he will stay though
Unlike the other centre backs, SSL can also play both fullback positions - is much more versatile so unless he is on stupid wages, I can see him staying.
If Chester goes anywhere is should be to a Premier League club. Maybe you'll be looking at Brady next season if we're not getting him back (which sounds unlikely), Nigel was a big fan of him.
My own thougyhts for what they are worth ... Bamba is quick and can play the midfield disrupter role if required - none of our other centre-halves could do that SSL is not the best full-back - admittedly he won't come up against Juan Mata in the Championship - but the Chelsea game thoroughly exposed his limitations Chester is a very good young player - NP knows him well and will also have made his mind up on what he intends for Mills - one decision is likely to influence the other Given that Tunchev has not had a look in I expect he will move on in the close season On the 'Wums' - happy to have comments, even be ribbed when we get ahead of ourselves - my only stipulation is that it should be done with at least a modicum of wit - otherwise what is the point? -
Forget the Chelsea game, apart from Neil Danns no one really played well. As regards to Chester i havent seen much of him. Hull are rarely on Sky and both times i have seen him live this season we have had a player sent off and havent really been able to test the Hull back line. If Hull want 3M+ then we should go elsewhere because we could find better value for money.
