Stupid, stupid decision. This has taken all the fun out of professional football for me. A decent human being replaced by an ego on legs who achieved success by throwing money at it. Wrong wrong wrong.

Why not? He was sacked, any consideration towards us is negated by that. If he joins Arsenal tomorrow I for one wouldn't blame him.

Speaking of arrogant...what do you make of Maureen being named manager?

Edit ... the arrogant is aimed at Maureen not you btw <cheers>

He has always said that out of respect to fans of his former clubs he would never join their local rivals...I made a mistake in naming Barcelona ... meant RM ... cos he named them and Arsenal as examples.

Yes of course. But possibly being sacked changes his viewpoint. Hopefully not.

Clearly something hasn't been right behind the scenes and the bad run we are on had to be rectified just a shame it has ended this way for poch but no one man is bigger than the club and we move on to the next chapter I just don't think moaninho is the right choice

On the surface this appears to be a very strange move for Spurs to make. Some think Jose is at his best when the only way is up as opposed to the Madrid or Manchester situation.
Are we to ditch our heritage and go for the pragmatic, this is akin to the George Graham appointment.
On the plus side this is the 'biggest' name available in world football and certainly shows Spurs intent.
    Make or break time!

Mourinho has apparently just placed an order for four buses. Fans with sleep problems will be happy.

You can’t turn a hoe into a housewife. Good luck to Pochettino on his future endeavours.

The same BBC that doctored footage of Remembrance Day so the public didn't have to see an apparently hungover Boris Johnson place a wreath the wrong way up on the Cenotaph before stomping off like he couldn't be arsed?

I'll stick to my Tier 1 sources, thanks

The fact that he was available is something to be considered though.

    Hi hbic.

How does it feel hiring mourinho? Is he still going to be known as steptonho?

I'd honestly say Allegri is probably the biggest name available at the moment, as while he doesn't have Steptonho's CV from a decade ago he also doesn't have Steptonho's CV of the last four years

Sharp suit (if a bit funereal), sensible haircut. Spurcat approved. <ok>

I suspect Mauricio feels a sense of relief to be away.
He has worked wonders during his time at the club. Throughout his tenure he's been put into near impossible situations but got through them not only with flying colours but with an adoring of sense style. A true professional. Levy relied heavily on him to get the club through a very difficult period.

Over nearly two seasons, as we know, there were no big incoming player transfers to help his cause and
for near two season he played every game 'away' whilst the new stadium was under construction. Somehow he managed to maintain a huge presence for this club. Reasons for praise are plenty., far more then any one individual can give.

No other present Premiership manager in today's game could've achieved what he has under the prevailing circumstances. I for one will always be thankful for what he has done for this club.

I/We may never see the likes of Mauricio Roberto Pochettino here again.
