I assumed the latter. No chance it’s a proper 4-4-2 with Chopper Madsen in the middle and Vale isn’t really a conventional wide player.

Has to be the latter, no sane manager would play 2 central midfielders with one of them being Madsen. You may as well start with 10 players

Good lineup, imo. Obviously would be better with Chair for Madsen. But beggars can't be choosers right now.

I think we're going to give them a game.

Also, with a broken wrist for Walsh, surely we'll recall the other young chap who went out on loan, whose name I can't remember right now.
