Things look slightly different from the last time I did a thread and also the last time Norwich played Wrexham. Then, early on in the season we still had hope for promotion and the Wrexham win catalysed their season and ours went into a tail spin. Now with PC in charge hopefully freshf rom a good win in the cup Norwich can come away from a long trip to North Wales with a win under their belts and a precious 3 points in our fight to avoid the drop.

League Form:

Wrexham: LWWWW
Norwich: DWLWL

Is it me or are we playing lots of the teams just when they are right in form the last few weeks or is it we are so off the pace that every team seems in form?

Norwich have signed Ali Ahmed and it will be interesting to see if he gets his first start.

I am on holiday and I doubt I will be able to update further

It does seem pretty incredible that each week we are talking about coming up against teams bang in form. Through December we played a lot of team at the top of the form table barring Charlton and now we run into a group of team in form or at the top of the division

Remember when we were the team on a winning run and no one wanted to play us. Those were the days.

A tough fixture for sure. Enjoy your holidays Zog! OTBC

Hard to predict how newly promoted teams will perform over the rest of the season. Wrexham, Birmingham and Charlton all started well but the latter two have fallen down the table of late, which often happens. Wrexham have resisted that trend and are currently 9th in the table. They do have 9 injured players to our 7 though. Be nice if we could do to them what they did to us early in the season. WhoScored's preview is below, tap to see full image.

Updated squad news: Ahmed and Diallo are available for Wrexham game , but Ahmed can only play 45 mins and PC does not expect Diallo to play a major part, needs to talk about how many mins he can play - what is safe, what is risky and what is crazy

I agree, Josh has effectively removed himself to give a big opportunity to Makama and Kvistgaarden, both of whom looked more than ready to take their chance last week. Ahmed will also be keen to put in a performance for his new team and for once, injuries are not a major factor whereas they could be for Wrexham. Jurásek could start again after his good performance against Walsall and McLean has had a good rest and can renew his partnership with the relentless Mattsson. The defence looks settled now, but Córdoba may get the nod to deal with the physicality of Kieffer Moore. We will probably have at least 6 players who weren't available against Wrexham last time. Hopefully it'll be a different outcome this time.

Like it. Pleased that Cordoba is retained. He is relatively fast, left footed and very improved under our new regime. Looking forward to seeing Ahmed perform. And our bench is now becoming very much stronger.

What is the deal with Kvistgaarden’s injury which keeps him being partly available but always under assessment?

According the the Pink'Un it isn't injury which is keeping him on the bench. PC sees it as a straight fight between Kvistgaarden and Makama at 9; playing two up front is not in his thinking at the moment.

We haven’t had an update on it. PC said over a month ago that he had something with his knee that they had to monitor and manage his training time. There has been no update since so I have left it on the fitness posts. He managed 90mins last week so hopefully he has overcome whatever it was
