Wrexham v Bristol City Wednesday 26-11-25 19:45pm

Bristol City backed by a sold out away end in midweek.Fantastic that is some jaunt for a night game.

Another good test at Wrexham for Bristol City with a newly promoted side that has spent big in the transfer market.

Personally i think they should be in a higher position with the quality in their side including city favorite Matty James.

We say: Wrexham 1-2 Bristol City

Wrexham come into this game unbeaten in their last six Championship games but have struggled to find the back of the net and turn draws into wins. They are also taking on one of the best away sides in the country, so we expect the hosts' good run to come to an end with Bristol City taking all three points.

Phil Parkinson’s Wrexham begin the midweek sitting just three points outside of those top six spots after a much-needed recent run of improved form. The Red Dragons’ goalless draw at Portman Road against Ipswich Town means that they are now unbeaten in their last six matches in the league.

They now face a Bristol City side that, following the appointment of Gerhard Struber over the summer, were always expected to be challenging for the playoff once again this season. The Robins got themselves back into the top six at the weekend with a 3-0 defeat of local-ish rivals Swansea City at Ashton Gate the other day.

Bristol City bounced back to winning ways at the weekend but this is a tough clash against Welsh opposition, once again, and Wrexham will be content with simply stifling City, leading to a likely low-scoring affair in north Wales.

1-2 Bristol City

Euan Walsh
Wrexham will be pleased with their point against Ipswich Town. Parkinson is doing a solid job this season, and he could guide his side to a play-off place, especially with their home form picking up.

Bristol City look the real deal under Struber this term and, despite his side’s inconsistencies, are still firmly in the top six. Their away record has been pretty good, and Mehmeti is in fine form.
“Both sides will feel there’s a great chance to win in the week. I think Struber’s side has a lot more attacking quality compared to the Red Dragons and I will back them for an away victory.”

Prediction: Wrexham 1-2 Bristol City

James Ray
Wrexham didn’t start the Championship campaign as well as they had hoped, and that brought a lot of stick. However, they’re quietly going about their business and finding a welcome bit of form now.

“Six without defeat and vastly improving defensive displays have the Red Dragons only three points off the play-offs, and four behind Bristol City despite the 10 league positions between them.

“The Robins will come into this in good spirits after a valuable return to winning ways, but I think they’re in for a tough game here. I actually wouldn’t be surprised if the hosts emerged victorious, but the visitors are solid on the road and good value for a point I feel.”

Prediction: Wrexham 1-1 Bristol City

Me i am going for another strong Bristol City performance and a 1-3 away win.

Tough game for us
They’ll be up for it from the start and from what I’ve seen of them they are a very physical and aggressive team, especially at home and we will do very well to get anything out of the game
Fingers crossed we can keep them quiet

Just done a look at the predictions .. the 72 is crap out of 20 looked at 16 were 1-1 or 2-2
sports mole ======== 6 looked at 2 correct

maybe a good guide to just have 2 choices for compo's ......lol

I hope our fans give Matty James a great reception, He, although Supcon will remind us of his salary, helped us through a very difficult time.

Only because it was relative to the no money narrative that people float about a certain managers time at the BS3.
MJ was a very good player, very good on the ball, although his legs had gone a bit in his second season, but his positional awareness and passing ability covered that. I will be very keen to see how he’s doing back at this level now. 2 years on.

Over the border now for my second week.
I will be watching this one in Tangey’s sports bar, Benalmádena.
Not sure how to call this one. Probably a draw. We have recovered from our injury-driven ‘blip’, but Wrexham are no mugs and have proved hard to beat of late.
Heart says 0-2 to us, head says 0-0 or 1-1.

Cov are more or less up now.
We have to hope they take points off our rivals - which they are doing.
Long long way to go yet, and we've seen many teams fail over the years from being in very strong positions and odds on favourites.
Benalmadena is quite a way from Gib ? Enjoy the match either way and have a few beers for me <cheers>

They were talking on Sky Sports last night about this - no team with the amount of points Cov have at this stage of the season have failed to get promoted. No pressure then…

Long long way to go they could wobble i watched the game last night neither were great.
watched it also both played some good football thought until the 85th minute that a draw was fair but then Coventry got "lucky"? and Middsbro collapsed

Soton AND Ipswich are striking form Leicester need improvement Birmingham Watford and Derby consolidating and improving so 7 teams could be City's NEMESIS
