Watford Predictions League Table 2015-2016.

Here is our first league table for 2015-2016, showing the positions after the first completed round. Our first Premiership leader is hockdude, courtesy of a unique result at Norwich, and another good result at Stoke. Yorkie moved into an ominous looking second place getting two perfect results in quick succession today, at Newcastle and at Stoke. Elsewhere there were 3 of us who got the Watford scoreline correct. The use of jokers did not prove decisive as many of them were placed on the games at Arsenal and Chelsea where very few points were scored. Rather smaller league than usual, so lots of room for late comers.

I put the joker on Stoke v Liverpool but considered putting it on Charlton v QPHa - wish I had now! (predictions: 1-0 to Stoke, and 2-0 to Charlton)

We have a new leader this week, with Fez moving to the top with another impressive score. Some very high scoring this week with pride of place going to Golden Gordon with 140 - 4 perfect scorelines with one of them being a joker. Half of all jokers this week were placed on the games at Villa Park and Selhurst Park (I wasted mine on Southampton )

League table after 3 rounds.

Here is the latest league table after only 3 rounds. Hockdude has returned to the top with a weekly score of 118, helped by very good use of the joker. Second highest scorer of the day was Markthehorn with 113 taking him into 3rd place. It was one of those weeks where you could get a respectable score in the 60-70s yet move down the table. Congratulations to Akureyrar for being the only one not to under estimate our Italian cousins. Just a reminder that jokers can only be played on one match per week - in the event of someone using 2 then only the first will be accepted. The table may receive a very small update during the week because of early tipping on the Granada CF v Eibar match (monday evening) which had been done on the future postings thread before I replaced this fixture with the Juventus one.

League Table (After 4 rounds)

Here is the latest table going into the international break. Hornet-Fez goes back into the lead, ahead of Markthehorn in second. Highest riser of the day was NZHorn with a hugely impressive 152 moving from 22nd up to 4th. Hockdude very graciously decided to wait for us this week. We now have 2 weeks for some of us to get to grips with the unpredictability of premiership tipping. Up to now the premiership has produced a very low percentage of home wins (22%) with 42 % away wins and 35% draws, making things very difficult to predict. Also, both teams have scored in only 47% of matches (the same figure for the championship is 63% up to now) so, lots of teams failing to find the net.
