I had no feelings either way. I think its nice to have a welcome thread, but only if it is used. I never said to keep it.
 
I disagree - the thread will now just disappear so will never be there for newbies thinking of joining - which is what its purpose was - would have expected someone at least to ask my opinion before unsticking it - even as a courtesy measure
 
Yeah, it is nice. Thankfully there wont be many times we do disagree and when we do im sure we can do calmly and respectfully.
