WPL 2011-2012 League

Nothing special mate, or at least it wasnt about 20 plus yrs ago , If it doesnt move it gets stolen and if it does move it gets stolen! Would recommend not taking your car,unless things have drastically improved , spent time at RAF St Athans back in the mists of time ,so used to know Barry quite well unfortunately.

 

It must be a long time Norway, although the people have not changed much it now has a lovely promenade going all of the way round the bay (The new fun fair spoils it a bit) There is a new Police station in the middle of the Prom and an ever present police presence so very little trouble (I've never seen any) and never had anything stolen from my car or my person. It has a fantastic beach but it's usually miles to the sea. Leo it is worth a visit but you need a sunny (or at least dry) day. There are some lovely walks along the bay and the old Steam Railway is up and running. Barry & the dock area has changed beyond recognition in the last 5 years, from an old Railway dump to sort after premises.

 

My Mother-in-Law was at RAF St Athen's Norway during the second world war, her surname was Catchpole, did you meet her?

 

Today's results and table - well done to high movers Bolton and Sandy; to Zen for best score of the day 75 - and to PSH whose 3-0 Blackpool Southampton result helped give him space over Hornette - with Kc now playing piggy in the middle

You mean they got police there now ,wow thats an improvement , do they stay there when it gets dark too? it seems miracles can happen ! Barry Island a tourist trrap who would have believed it! I remember the place as a complete **** hole , you didnt look at anyone for fear of getting attacked , we were advised never to go in a pub on your own!!!!
You`ll be telling me theres a hilton there next!

I just wished that we knew if SLB is ok.

 

I second that OFH - SLB is sorely missed and we can only hope he and his family are well

 

Ditto, now I'm an optimist but in this case I'm worried...

 

I think we can safely say that SLB is in all our thoughts and hopefully one day he will return to our Board and join us once again.

Hi all - the updated tables from yesterday. No amazing scores I'm afraid but Mark's score jumps him up a few places into the top 5 - very close in that 5 to 10 area. Yours truly managed to get the Watford score correct but that was about the only thing I did manage I don't think my late re-entry into the league is going to set any tremors in the upper echelons. Looks like the race is going to be between Yorkshire and Ak unless someone has a pretty good late run

Woo hoo - thought I'd blown it this week with poor predictions but it seems everyone around me lost their heads too. Just goes to show that the race for the play-offs may not be over yet.
