No I'm basing it on him leaving one of the best defenders in the country out of the squad which desperately needs him. Your whole argument is 2 wins against inferior opposition who couldn't even qualify for the Euros.
As reported, I think it may be to do with the fact that Terry is facing a racial abuse charge against his cousin Anton. It's probably actually quite good man management by Woy to keep him out of the squad, but certainly not for footballing reasons. Ferdinand is still way ahead of Kelly - that just screams out as obvious, only a fool would argue otherwise.
Belgium rarely lose at their stadium, and Norway came close to qualifying in a tougher group. To call Hodgson a 'card board cut out' of a manager because he left Ferdinand at home is pathetic - as I said. My argument is that we should wait till we see how he does until slating the guy.
The stats not only show that Rio is better than Terry and pretty much everyone else but that if he is past his best its simply because his best was at a level Englsih defenders of the recent past are not accustom too. A level they havent reached. The fact on his downward slope and after 2 years of injuries aswell as partnering Mr No confidence Evans and 2 young lads all season in defence shows how good Rio has been in the past.
Hit it on the head mate. I much rather we go out there, play proper entertaining football and lose than play some sort of boring defensive garbage. You'd think that years of failure would shake the system up somehow, but we seem to do the same old rubbish year after year. Spain and Germany are leading the way because they've make some big changes at home, we've remained static.....
Hodgson doesnt think so - and we'll know whether it was a mistake in the next few weeks... till then it just sounds like bitterness that your man has not been picked.
Belgium rarely lose but yet didnt qualify for the Euros. They lost or failed to win enough times imo. Norway are a team who are hard to beat, nothing more. Its essentially what Stoke are and what England are becoming. Hard to beat, its not a good thing, it just means you are poor.
lol I meant Norway (they were unbeaten in the qualifiers) and only missed out to Portugal on GD - but good point.
For the record, I think Woy looks like a good England manager - obviously time will tell. But to put the CBs he has in the squad ahead of Ferdinand certainly suggests that it's about something else other than his ability on the pitch.
We are going round in circles. I have pointed out why it bothers me, its not bitterness just I cant figure out the madness. I wont be watching england anyway and if Rio had been in the team I still wouldnt of. I just feel taking Terry will cause a massive issue. the ****s already forced Bridge out of England ( not that he should be anywhere near the team but Terrys ****ish behaviour ****ed it for him ) and we all know regardless of how well Rio or Anton were to play they wont get called up aslong as Terry is in the team. Reckon Mr Bung ( Redknapp ) would of dropped Terry in an instant and took Rio.
Me 2, I just wish hes grow some balls and stop trying to prove to that scouse ****e that he was good enough.Who cares Roy, Liverpool were to much for anyone at that time, you just pulled the short straw.
Im slating him for the way he has handled the situation as the title suggests. and his motives or orders to leave Rio at home when he is clearly valuable. I do not need to wait until the Euros to know that is a bad decision. My disagreement is in the context of Cahills injury not because of Rio's original exclusion. You are very emotional Jayram and because of that you fail to see the obvious. Even when it's in front of you.
Its not me crying about Ferdinand .... or making wild assumptions about the England manager based on zero knowledge. Perhaps you should get behind the team as I have suggested and see how they do.. If we get knocked out of the group then I too will ask some questions. As it is I will leave the emotional whinging to you.
He wasn't given nearly enough time at Liverpool. The board thought they could wheel out Kenny and throw in a skip full of cash to solve their problems - and it backfired spectacularly
Jayram, sorry to have to do this but erm.... Can you explain the reaoning behind Stuart Downings existen......sorry inclusion in the squad. His stats read...Played - to many, Assisted - **** all, scored - **** all. Passes - he doesnt know what they are, psss completion % - 44% <<< I may of made that up but you get the picture.... Still confident Roy knows what hes doing?
His time as england manager is going to cost him all his remaining support. Such a shame for a likeable football man. It may or may not be him but in the end he will take the flack.
What wild assumptions have I made about Roy Hodgson in any of my posts? As for crying about Fedinand that is actually quite amusing.
