I fail to see why I'm a joke from that comment, but I won't lose sleep over it. Our midfield may be poor but we still got a good result at Anfield and are still in contention for the title.
Why are plenty of Liverpool fans getting hard on's about today's game? I've got 606 on in the background and theres been a few Liverpool fans ringing up and saying about how they outplayed the champions, shows we are up there for the title etc etc. Last time I checked, the season is over 38 games, not 1 game.
This. I believe that as they had won for the last three seasons it is harder to take that they didn't get the 3 points today. I really thought it was a fairly even game today without either team having a massive advantage.
Two players who I paid particulat interest in today Kelly and Wellbeck. Kelly played very well quietly, efficiently and effectively going about his business. He saw off Young and should be proud of his performance. Wellbeck. I felt sorry for him. He's obviously got skill and pace but today showed just how hatd it is for a young forward to play in that lone striker role against an organised defence.
Fair enough. I think you played really well, but we played well as well. I don't know why people are getting so hung up over our so called "negative" tactics. If you were going to a place where you were outplayed on consecutive occasions, wouldn't you try something different? I don't think Liverpool outplayed us but it's not as if we ever overloaded on attacks which indicated that our ethos today was to be much stronger in defence which we were. Mission accomplished me thinks.
