Never ever on that one, of course Pele was part of a Brazilian team that dominated world football for a decade but he was the man who often made it happen. The Europeans double man-marked him but he still slipped them, but the treatment he got during the 1966 world cup was criminal, especially by the Portugese who even fouled him at every opportunity off the ball! Also, he was doing financially OK at home outside of football so he had no need to look for big paydays abroad like today's footballers.
Not really, I can't take anything you say seriously. Your memory is awful. I know fine well who were the players in that Brazil side who supplied Pele, signed up to the Pele pantomime... Just like Xavi and Iniesta plied Messi with ammo, let him be the star. Jairzinho pissed all over Pele in 1970 but Pele got the accolades again. Garrincha in 62 but Pele claimed the glory again. Embarrassed by Jus Fontaine, Eusebio, Muller for goals but Pele got the headlines. It's guff mate, you're a fan boy cos they told you to be. Well done
Always teetering on the edge mate, where I belong, ready to explode into a vicious rage at any given moment. Of course I'm fabricating the truth, I am at one with the world, I am synchronised with nature and forever spreading peace and love. Somewhere in between the first part and the second part.
Seen it with my own two eyes since 1958 when he made his debut so I am happy with what I reported or how I saw it. For me Pele was the man who made it happen on or off the ball.
Loved Ali and thought Pele was canny but not the worlds best. How about these two, ultra talented and classy fellas?
