Seems like 'Arry is setting himself up for the England job should it all go tits up for Hodgson. Why is anyone surprised?
Redknapp writes headlines. Why do you think that the media love him? He's not stupid. He'd probably prefer Croatia's front six, if he was being honest.
I just would've thought a manager who's come out of a good job with his reputation still intact would want to remain credible for the sake of future employment. Quotes like this would make me think Senility is approaching if I was a football club owner.
I'm not sure on that analysis, PNP. Harry has a huge ego. I don't suppose he would like the idea of being thought stupid. Which is exactly what comments like this do.
hes talking bollox again..no wonder Levy could not stand him..even if he did get us 4th...gobshaite...thinks everyone is stupid and what he says is gospel...i couldnt give a damn if he got us top 2 id want his toxic nature far and away from my club...thanks for the good days though...but if you cant shut up or be intelligent bout your comments instead of giving a wheeler dealer kind of answer then...no wonder you got your p45 from a classy club...he should go to Chelsea...would fit in perfectly....and put your fat fkin nephew on a diet whilst your there pisses me off Harry sometimes
Is Brazilian Ronaldo still playing? Last time i saw him i didn't wish i was as fat as him. Off topic, oh well!
him and Adriano were competing to see who could stop seeing their own feet first last time i saw. sorry off topic OP..back to discussing another pearl of bollox from Redknapp.
Was this Harry-ese for "England's front six aren't quite the total crap we all assumed they were?" In fact, if you sub Walcott for Milner (which, of course, should have been done from the first) it's definitely not bad. Though not in the same class as Germany, Spain and the Netherlands, certainly, I'm not so sure I'd prefer France. Well, alright, France is a little better. But I despise Ribery so much I downgrade them.
The Spanish team that started yesterday excluded the following: Fabregas, Mata, Navas, Pedro, Llorente and Villa I think you could make a case for most of those instead of England's front six.
Without any shadow of a doubt, those 6 would be a much better front 6 than our front 6, even considering you'd have to play half of them out of position to make it work.
From their current squad and system, the second Spanish front six would look like this IMO. ---Martinez Fabregas --------Carzola ---Navas Llorente Mata Pedro would not get in the second team in my view. And yes, that is better than England's current front six.
Either of Walcott or Ox would be preferable to Milner. Completely anonymous for virtually the whole evening.
Not sure about Walcott starting. When he came on the England players hardly even looked for him, and that has been the case for most of Walcott's England career. Not sure if it's his poor movement or the fact the rest simply do not trust him. Against Italy, they will try and push their wing backs really high up the pitch so I suspect Milner will be used to 'protect' again.
i dont think he is a winger....but i think Walcott cant perform for 90...only in bursts...so i see Roy's logic...as for Oxo...great potential...seems to have stage fright it seems...not blaming him..he is young...once again i understand Roy's thinking.
You do all realise the better front six of France finished three points behind England and scored less goals, the better front six of Holland finished bottom of their group and scored less goals, the better front six of Spain just scraped through their group with a goal that contained both an off-side and hand ball.
I don't think that Milner's being used in a way which will allow him to impress. He's just being asked to do a job and it's largely working, while thrilling nobody. As for Spain? Pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, fall over. Pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass... A superb group of players, using extremely effective tactics, but it's incredibly dull. It's like a fantastic boxer never getting hit, rarely offloading and doing just enough to win every round.
