Getting rid of Spence doesn't bother me. Getting rid of Ayling doesn't bother me. The thing that gets me is that we're mid way through a curial transfer window with Leicester and Ipswich basically running away with this division and Farke gets rid of both.

We're down to 2 CBs in Rodon and Cresswell for a time as Strujk and Cooper are both injured and there's talk of getting rid of Cresswell.

There's been links to players all month and nothing has happened. We left it late in the last window and now we're 4th. If we don't sign anyone we will have to spend next season in this division and we can kiss the likes of Summerville. Meslier, Gnonto, Grey and James goodbye.

But with two promotions on his CV, which is all we require of him for now.

Ayling's lack of anaerobic pace (actual acceleration) made him a liability in his position (a bit like Ian Harte towards the end of his career when he had to play centre back or midfield.

I understand why Farke got rid of Spence, but ffs, get a DECENT REPLACEMENT IN FIRST.

Why take the moral high ground. It's not like the 1970's when 'side before self' actually meant something!!!

    manager/coaches[/QUOTE]
We've had some ****e managers in the last 20 years managing our club so it's not difficult to look great compared to them, in my opinion McCallister, Grayson and the legend that is Eddie Gray were better than Farke for some of the football we played back then.
Farke is doing ok but sometimes his style of football is awful to watch, he hasn't got a tactical football brain, a plan B, his substitutions are a joke, and he's constantly been outsmarted by 'lesser' coaches, oh, and he's too soft,
    "win at all costs".
Obviously I hope he succeeds I want him to be successful I just don't think he's got what it takes. Time will tell.

Now watch us go smash Baaadiff with a masterclass in farkefootie.:emoticon-0105-wink:

Farke is far from perfect and he's made a few mistakes but overall he's doing a decent job so far.

Farke is the best we were going to get in the circumstances we found ourselves in the summer. Would you have been happier with Mourinho, the self confessed best in the world. He's already back on the social having flopped. Who said Viera would take the job ? Would we have Ampadu or rodon if Farke hadn't arrived ? Farke is next best we've had in a decade behind Bielsa and by a long way. In fact wonder where'd wed be now if he'd taken over from Bielsa. Only drawback would be Orta would probably be still in his job shouting at the fans and telling them how much we should thank him for

Why not let him go at end of season when we know if we are promoted or not ? Letting him go now when we might need him through injuries to defenders is crazy , not only that middlesbrough could be a play off rival and we don't want to strengthen them.

Does it say he can't in his loan agreement ? You know hoe lapadasicle Leeds are with contracts , there might have been a clause in it that he can play against us ? Don't forget middlesbrough are the ones who are paying the loan .

Unless we are buying or loaning a left back and right back what's the point of letting both go ?, when we are in a fight to get promoted ?

True exactly the point I'm making on this post , we are half way through the season with a great chance of promotion and we get rid of 2 decent defenders and ayling who scores goals now and again and not a replacement in sight .
Even if you want to go along with it , wouldn't it be better to have 2 defenders lined up at start of january , then let them bed in and before transfer window closes let them go when we know the new defenders have bedded in.
It's another stupid mistake that the hiarchy keep on making.

I agree he was the best we could get at the time , but it might not be all farkes decision to loan ayling out and it seems with spence it was an attitude problem but why did we not get a replacement before sending him back ?

To favor captain calamity Cooper over spence also , I know Cooper plays CB and spence has been playing LB but why not have put spence at right hand side of CB or even Right back and removed calamity Cooper onto subs bench , we could have had spence as right back or as right sided CB gray if farke insisted at right back or ayling , struik at CB and Sam Byram who is now fit at Left Back. But we can't do that now that farke has got rid of Spence and ayling.

I agree 2 promotions from championship is what we need now but decisions on Letting players go when there are no replacements is crazy

Southampton have not lost in league since September, while leeds have lost about 4 or 5 times that tells alot of the story also what could be a promotion decider is Leeds last match of this season Leeds v southampton , at that point Leeds need to be above southampton and above ipswich then we can afford to draw in that match but if we are below them we need to win it.
