oh come on he was not in the bloody game much and his finishing is poor from what we saw last season. Teams have found him out and he is not effective like he use to be. I think he is overrated by us as being better than what he actually is, You can see now why there was no bids for him in the transfer window and a team like the toon would prefer gomis. He really needs to earn his wages and up his game as his value is dropping like a stone..
Wholeheartedly agree with Phil , Emnes is a gem in waiting for a chance . Gomis is probably better , but not much and at a lot of extra cost .. sell.
Emnes got in a position , like Ive seen him do before, to be in on one on one.....ps ""I wholeheartedly agree with phil " ......had a funny moment of absolute short circuitizm there .
I suppose it is a good job you aren't picking the side and GM is then. He is an excellent signing, but he will only be back up for injuries and suspensions. Will be limited to sub appearnces.
Id pretty well start Bony every game and bring on Gomis as a sub or long time injury replacement. But id have no qualms about selling Gomis and having Emnes play his role . Or if Bony should leave having Emnes fill the same role with Gomis starting .Emnes is a more important player for us than Gomis imo . God forbid , and things go south and we some how get relegated ... Bony and Gomis will be goners , and Emnes will lead us back . Hes good insurance at good value is all .
I thought Bony was terrific for us last season but this season he has been ****e. I dont hate players i leave that up to you kids i would rather say it as it is and not make excuses. Bony earns nearly a quarter of a million pounds per month not including bonuses so i expect a bit more from him by now. A goal now and again don't cut it when you take home a whopping pay packet like that. He needs to shape up or dropped it's as simple as that. we cant afford to carry duds.
I was expecting a photo of some half decent bird when I clicked on this thread.......... seriously disappointed.
Why would we want to sell Gomis,we've only bought him recently, and he has hardly had any time to settle in here yet,and some want him to move on? A possible injury to Bony or his departure for the African Nations Cup will give Gomis his chance. Monk did say that there would be times when they could both play together. We've been crying out for a quality back up striker for ages, now we've got one, give the guy a chance.
The goal machine that is Rory Donnelley will be back by then. As will King, Kinsley and Fulton. Top three anyone?
No.Gomis will be fine for us.Some want to sell him even though we have hardly seen him play.Come on guys let's get real, please.
