He & Holt formed a terrific partnership in league one, but he lost his way a bit when we were in the championship. I agree the best thing for him was being moved on, he had to grow up himself without the club being there to keep helping him. Would I take him back? From what I've seen of him at Derby, hell yes !
It's still a big no from me, I hope he does really well for Derby, he had his chance here and blew it several times!
Look at who has come back to the club - and what they achieved second time around. Robert Fleck - fail Mike Walker - Epic fail Jamie Cureton - Mega/ultra fail. Any I've forgotten? I can't see how the question even arose. He seems settled and happy banging the goals in at Derby, he seems to have matured both on and off the pitch, so why the hell would he (Tweedledum) want to resurrect his turbulent past by coming back here?
No need to apologise, but I've not been on here much lately and was a bit surprised to see a thread about CM, never mind a poll Maybe it's a side effect of the international break that we start scraping the barrel looking for stuff to discuss when there's a lull in the real action?
I watched Korey Smith on sky the other day for Bristol City and Wilbs and I have to say at that level Korey looked bloody good. Scored 2 and got man of the match.
I wouldn't give up any of our present strikers for Chris. He is an excellent striker of the ball, but he lacks pace and effective movement. That works in the Championship, but wouldn't work in the PL, IMO. I wish him well, but it's a no from me.
Martin O'Neill, scored 11 Goals in 55 games second time around, then fell foul of Chase when doing well as our manager third time around.
The thread was written in August before Martin hit form and compared to Suarez Balloteli Barton etc i don't really see he has done much wrong. If you don't think the topic is worth discussing here's a suggestion don't click on it or bother commenting. The amount of o/t threads on here with nothing to do with football or NCFC and you take exception to a poll relating to an ex player in the same league ?. Strange response.
