Anybody have a good idea at alternative suggestions for a big striker but NOT Carroll ?
    If you take Tash's formation:

    -------Ba------------Carroll--------

    Jonas----Tiote-----Cabaye-----Hatem Ben Arfa

    Santon-- Colo------Willi--------Simpson

    --------------Krul----------------------

Now take Carroll out of that line up and replace him with a big strong striker who is currently scoring 10 to 15 per season for less than £10m and who would be the right age and wage.
Is there someone out there who fits that profile ? (genuine question as I dont know)

Gignac at Marseille seems to highly out of favour with the manager and could possibly be bought for less than £10 million. Marseille paid roughly 16/18 million Euros for him in August 2010 but he was forced to train with the reserves in November last year.

With a decent strike partner and service from the wings he will score goals as shown at Toulouse.

Think what sort of European gem we could unearth or attract with 10-15m under our current policy. Would be a total waste of money to spend it on a guy who has single figure goals in the last year and seems to fall over whenever he gets anywhere near the ball. Stupid risk, though I'd take him back on a free, he would be a decent Lovenkrands replacement.

Carroll's problem is he cannot run, drible, shoot, control a ball, header or target, beat a man or pass a ball.

    Other than that he's brilliant!

He is the only player who would be better with no legs. If just for the fact he couldn't fall over them.

He caused too much trouble here and was a liability somtimes (falling in aspers and getting injured and then never playing for us again.), he choose to leave, i dont believe he was forced out tbh, he say that 9 at the front of the paycheck instead of a 3 and his head filled with money, stupid decision on his behalf.

I wouldnt take him back, plus him and Saylor have history and might cause a rift in the perfect squad harmony, hes not a technical player which is what we are after i.e. Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Marveaux etc.

We did at times but that was mainly in the Championship and we had Nolan playing just off him to pick up the pieces.

After tonight's performance, no but if we got him on the cheap ish, maybe but would not give him the number nine again or at least make him work for it.

Even if he came back and scored 30 goals in a season , I wouldn't give him the number 9 back.

He wiped the floor with it when he moved to Liverpool and in my opinion shouldn't get another chance.

i'd try and get Clint Dempsey. Newcastle are a bigger club than Fulham, you should be able to entice him.
