Do Real pay massive transfer fees for goalkeepers or even defenders? Isn't their Feelossofee more about spunking huge amounts of money on creative and goal scoring players?
To be honest, their philosophy is about pledging to sign whatever buzz name is being banded about at the moment in order for the prospective big wig to secure the presidency. Or whatever names the incumbent feels he can sign in order to help him keep his presidency.
Then they're more likely to offer 60million for Neuer. The reality is they'll go after whichever attacking player is flavour of the season. I pay limited attention to Spanish football but I have no recollection of Real spending a **** load of money on a defensive player. Signing De Gea wouldn't win anyone many votes.
Marca (is that it?) usually dont send signals of smoke without fire. There's definitely interest from Real there. I believe Marca in that, their sources are usually good. Just depends how much DDG wants to stay or go.
Woodgate Made his debut a year after he was signed due to injury, then on his debut, scored an own goal and was then sent off Gotta be the worst debut ever.
Marca sends out plenty of smoke tbh. They were on Neuer until he had a pop at Ronaldo over the Ballon D'Or, have linked Real to Cech, Courtois and Roberto, and now seem to bee focused on Bernd Leno as "Bernabeu material". If every bit of smoke they reported had a fire behind it, Real would have enough goalkeepers to fill the entire goal.
Stay on topic please. Personally, I would sell Di Maria. Then spend the money on a private island and invest the remainder in Georgian wine and Greek sovereign debt. But then I don't own him (that I know of) so that's really not an option. I am selling my futon tho'. Excellent quality, £90 to anyone who wants to come and collect it from Scotland
