That's your opinion, but it's debateable because many others have a different opinion.

The sky pundits (of which are ex pros mostly and know a hell of a lot more than you or I) have mostly gone for Hazard with Kane and De Gea behind. Hazard has been by far the best player to watch this season, has statistically been the best player and has been the main player for the team that should win the league. If that doesn't stack up as being a fair shout for POTY then I want some of what you've been smocking.

Personally I can see the case for De Gea, he's had a lot of practice looking good this year with that ropey Defence. Much rather watch Hazard running rings around full backs though. Sport is entertainment first and foremost.

    Ah so pundits eh <laugh>

Most pundits know very little of anything about the game. Most of them played years and years ago and have no comprehension of the modern game.

Plenty of Sky pundits went with De Gea. Souness and Neville to name a couple

So naming the only 2 that went for De Gea....nice selective journalism!!

Neville being one of the few pundits who actually knows what hes talking about.

Souness is better than some but falls into the dinosaur category.

Got a lot of time for Neville but there's no doubting he may be a touch biased. Henry went for Hazard and is just as clued up, and should be able to spot a talent having played in 3 great sides.

But 7 out of 12 pundits go for Hazard and it's not open for debate who should be POTY???

Most people know better than the old school brigade. These people think small technical players will all fail in england and that big brutes without any ability are gods of the game.

Hazard is a lazy choice. Hes not even thr bwst outfield player at Chelsea never mind the league.

Matic had held you lot together all season.

Kane and Sanchez have also been better than Hazard.

Infact, why are we even talking about Hazard?

Of the outfield players I would go with Harry Kane, I'm not sure why he is being overlooked for the award.

He's had a much better season than Hazard. Hazard isn't even in double figures for the season when you minus off his penalties

Oh the classic...'he's not even been you're best player' rhetoric. Yawn. De Gea's not been yours either, Di Maria has been amazing as you all told us he would be. POTY you were predicting in August. How's that worked out?

If you don't think Hazard is up for debate then there's literally no hope for you.

Hazard is quality but hes nowhere near poty.

Be worse than when Giggs or Parker won it if he won.

Schneiderlin is another possibility. Regardless of who you name though. De Gea stands out well above everyone else.

Kane's not been overlooked. He was 2nd in the voting (which is all unofficial at this stage anyway).

How old is Kane?, he will get young player if 23 or under.

Now I know you're on something. There's never been such a ridiculous sentimental POTY award than Giggs'.

Hardly a meltdown. Just struggle to grasp the nonsense you come out with sometimes. I really hope you're Adrian Durham and you just say controversial things for the sake of debate (or ratings). You can't possible believe most of what you post, which is why you're even a laughing stock amongst most of your fellow United brethren.

    Not that'd I'd change you. ;)

Your post proves it was exactly the case of being clueless <laugh> You obviously never watched him at Atletico OR actually watched him for a full 90 mins game after game for United in that first season. Instead I bet you watched the highlights and followed the crowd. It was NOTHING to do with waiting for him to come good. He was already good... except for little englanders and ABUs who had never actually seen him play. I bet you didnt watch VDS in his first season for us or notice the mistakes he made? They were as minor as De Gea's. And he was a seasoned professional. Rio used to berate him openly in the middle of matches ffs. Nobody remembers that.

We've had some **** sogn for us. Players as a United fan I can tell you from day 1 were going to be a mess so this isnt about blind loyalty. De Gea was class even back then. But as with the ignorant media, they wanted to knock him and over-analysed every minor error to make him look inferior after VDS's retirement. Par for the course though.

Too true Treble, I was always supportive of De Gea, as you could see from watching his first season with us that he had all the skills to be a great keeper. He made the odd error, but he made countless world class saves to counteract the errors

Ditto Schmeichel. He had a few wobbles at times in his first season, but you could see the quality was there and he never looked back afterwards.

Far too many fans just blindly follow what the media tell them and jump on the nearest bandwagon rather than making considered judgements of their own.
