Just cant see am Athletico fan going to Madrid. Players do play for both clubs, but usually outsiders.

You never know in football though.

How do you know Di Maria never wanted to play for United?

But no I wouldnt want us to sell him, surely next season he will have a far better season just like all our other players.

Nah being runners up to the PL winners is what we want at this stage, we are not Arsenal fans.

Are you agreeing or disagreeing with KS:
King Shergar: Hazard isn't even on Di Maria's level, never mind up there with the very best.

Hazard is more a goal scorer than a creator isnt he? In terms of making goals he is a level below. In terms of scoring them hes a level or two above. Di Maria isnt a great finisher.

So you agree Di M is not up there with the best now? You claimed he was sixth best player on earth very recently more than once.

Still hold that opinion (it was based on last season and his rightful inclusion in the worlds best 11).

Hes struggled to adapt so far. Factors outside of football have clearly impacted his game but still, hes got 9 assists and 3 goals so far. His assists are often brilliant and match winning.

The best players dont need to be at the top of there game to produce the goods. Di Maria is one of the best around.

With the way half season Cesc is going. Di Maria might just pip him to the assist king titles too.

If di Maria wants to leave then **** him. Sell him buy pogba. Boom.

Amazing that players are judged on one season....

I knew this player once, played for Madrid. Won a European trophy. Was one of their best players. Came to the prem. Got rinsed by thick pundits from an ignorant british media who were pretty clueless. Couldnt wait to pick every minor mistake in his first season despite the fact the player had so much more to his game. With every season after he showed that quality in spades until every fcker in the media accepted he was probably the best around. His name...De Gea.

    Go figure!

We'll see the same with Di Maria no doubt.

Definitely worth giving him another season. The Chavs and Queen Katie in particular like to draw comparisons with Half Season Cesc, completely ignoring the fact that Fabregas has spent years in the PL and joined a club that had an established manager, formation and Feelossofee. A better comparison would be Sanchez who in fairness has had a better debut season, although he's also tailed off in the second half of the season.

    Better comparison might be Suarez

A goal every three games in his first season and a half, more games banned than goals in his first full season. Followed by two 30 goal seasons and a £65 million transfer fee. Not saying Di Maria will end up as good (or as bitey) but is shows the benefit of giving skilful players the chance to settle in to a club.

Most of Hazards goals have been penalties. He scored a nice goal at the weekend but he's rarely that effective when it comes to scoring in open play

I'd agree with you 100% but for the fact that De Gea was so young and it was really pretty obvious he was going to improve and be brilliant. Only real ****wits didn't see that, or refused to acknowledge it.

Di Maria is already the complete article, but he will be better next season for the settling in part of it. I can see him being superb next season, especially if played on or from the left, but I think it's him who wants to leave.

Funny how most pundits put Hazard as player of the season, but you've often been known to see what experts don't....<laugh>

De gea is player of the season. Its not even debatable and shows the league for what it is.

Nobody has performed better than De Gea and as consistently. Not Hazard, Sanchez, Kane or other.

He probably wont win it but hes by far tge best player this season.

De Gea was newsworthy because he was an expensive signing playing for the Country's biggest club and was gash. Do the media care whether he might come good a year or 2 down the line? Of course not. They'll just print the stories to sell rags at that given time. It's not a case of being clueless.

Most people also realise that Di Maria (and potentially Falcao) are top line players but their struggles this season are newsworthy for the same reasons above. Personally I think Di Maria will be better next year if he stays and the team play to his strengths but Falcao looks finished at the very top level to me following that injury.

It really isnt. Hes been miles ahead of any player in this league. Everyone has gone missing at some point and dropped their standards.

One player hasnt. Hes shown up to every game and probably has as many MOTM performances as anyone.

He wont win it because hes a keeper though. Someone like Hazard will win it. Unjustifiably.
