Has to be the FA Cup. neither team has won anything of note since the early 70`s, nearly bloody 40 years, Relegation is nothing, we have been through it plenty in that time, and the toon have just experienced it, but are back again and its nearly all forgotton, an FA Cup win will live with us for years to come, even if we just do it once.

Severe lack of practice, mate! We've been up and down like a tart's drawers over the last thirty years....

Well i havnt forgot our relegations either, but they are firmly planted at the back of my mind as dark days in our history. along with the Gillingham play off defeat, they are still there, but i hardly ever think of them until someone on here brings them up, an FA cup win will be at the front of my mind for years to come (i was only 1 the last time we done it), and its a good memory not a bad one.

I would still rather we won the Cup than you went down though.

It would be nice to see both happen in the same season, with Newcastle breaking the record for lowest league points

I want to see Sunderland win something and the FA Cup would be just fine thank you.

I dont want the barcodes relegated, I want them to be at the SOL and watch us parade the trophy in front of them, hear our chants and listen to our taunts. Wheres the satisfaction of winning a trophy if you cant also rub your locals rivals faces into the dirt over it as well.

    Marvellous.

I really can't believe how many Mags would rather get relegated rather than see us win the Cup...In my opinion this constitutes as further evidence of their unhealthy obsession with SAFC.
