I'd choose any of them tbh. That photographer has posted some banging photos when he was at the club last season. Our internal marketing team should be coming up with this sort of stuff.....'personalise your card for an extra tenner' or something like that.
Possibly a remnant of the Madrox era but the club is on it's arse when it comes to this sort of stuff. You see some clubs sending Season Cards out in leather boxes with inscriptions etc. We got ours chucked in a white envelope without even the courtesy of a letter. I reckon our fans would lap up things like personalised Season Cards, or paying extra for your name on your seat or ideas like that. Other than the amazing job they did for #TilTheEnd our Marketing department has been ****e for years
I agree mate. Although, the club let this lad in to take photos and stuff, he wasn't guaranteed to go to Wembley (don't think he is an official employee) but they should be all over things like this. So simple but really effective.
See, that's what pisses me off about this sort of thing. They have 'official' meetings with fans groups and talk about the finance's and all sorts of high level stuff because they have to under the regulations but fans make suggestions via email or a conversation in the ticket office/club shop (God forbid ) and nowt gets acted upon. They should be replying at the very least thanking you for at least taking the time to suggest a way of improving things. They have got (almost) 30,000 people with ideas, yet the board are paying for some external consultants to tell us what they think we want? Mental.
If the club had any sense, they'd give Chris Waters a promotion and let him lead a team of Supporter Liaison Officers instead of just letting him work full time and get paid part time hours
Yeah. I think a lot of it was down to infighting at board level under Byrne, then cost cutting from Bain on wards. I think marketing and the commercial side go hand in hand and if you sort out one, you'll sort out the other. Something like this is a good start, if it can be done.
He is a diamond. He works more than full time. He barely clocks off. Needs another half a dozen staff with him heading an engagement/fan liaison type dept.
