Whenever I have bet on Saints to win....we have always lost!!! (as a result has been a long while since I have) So presumably if I bet on us to lose we should win???? Worth losing a £10er for promotion!!
If Man Utd, West Ham, Sheff Utd, Swindon, and Celtic all won their respective leagues this season, I would scoop myself just over £18,000. So had tomorrow been a title head-to-head, rather than a promotion head-to-head, and had Sheff Utd, rather than Charlton, already won the L1, I think a large part of would have been a West Ham & Coventry fan for a day. I bet against my teams (Saints or Hampshire) all the time. The amount of times that I bet on them is only marginally above nil. So in most other situations, I'd have snapped your hands off for 10-1. But not here, no way. Sticking £10 and winning £100 is a nice consolation mid season, but it would no way make up for us throwing automatic promotion away on the very last day. As it happens, I put £15 on WH to beat Leicester and Hull. Walk away with about £60 if that comes off. So fingers crossed, I get an ideal outcome tomorrow of a Saints promotion and an afternoon/night out then paid for.
I bet against as well it's a weird one, I only did it as last season i started betting against saints after the Walsall lose as that was so disappointing, then i think after that we went on an amazing run and i have continued to lose money ever since, in a way sort of a good luck thing for me....
