Herrera was struggling for game time, was then picked out of necessity, played well and therefore couldn't be dropped so we saw Rooney up top and Martial on the wing. To learn his trade as a striker apparently (astonishingly stupid comment!)

Players don't tend to slag the manager off in public, even when they're frustrated. It doesn't usually get them a positive result!

Are you so far up LVG's arse that you can't even comprehend that?!

Seriously pal, maybe you should try playing solitaire!

Oh dear. You're clueless Stan.

He's not playing because he's injured. If he wasn't injured he would be playing.

Martial was a winger until 12 games before signing for us. A was playing winger last season until right at the end. He plays out wide for France. He joins a long list of his type of player who follows this trend. Several of who have played for us.

So you think Herrera slagged the manager off then? He really needs to go if that's the case. I would rather we didn't turn into a circus.

I've said it before. He's just our version of Astro who was the same with Rodgers right up until the day Brendan took a step back, zipped up his fly and bade Astro a sad farewell.

<laugh> reality comes crashing in and when certain ppl can't deal with it, they escape to make-believe. It's like the football forum version of Shutter Island with some.

Well nobody is spared when it comes to LVG being absolved of blame for the way the players perform. You've mentioned Herrera as probably our one of our most creative midfielders (which I'd agree with) but apparently he too was slated to save LVG. Apparently out of form bcos he scuffed a shot on goal despite never having been highlighted as having a poor game. The excuses seem to be made up as we go along. It's things like this that I find hard to understand. It seems like extreme lengths to go to, to try to cover for the manager.
That is exactly where I get confused too. If Herrera and Mata et all are quickly dropped after a bad game, why has Rooney played 80% horrible games and still starts each match? It seems only injury would keep Rooney out of the side.

Is this really the best you have got. There's only 2 people who slag van Gaal off more than you on this site. Take a wild stab in the dark who they may be.

Treble and Astro. That's the company you keep. Ouch.

I would agree here. He needs to be dropped. I think Chief has a point in that Rooney isn't the cause of our problems. I think his poor form isn't being helped by our general playing style. There was a glimmer of hope when he got subbed yesterday but that may just have been bcos he wasn't match fit after his injury. It's a strange one considering how ruthless LVG was with RVP?

Surely you and Stan have noticed you are literally the only ones singing to tune here?

I mean the rest of us seem to have a pretty similar view. Its OK, could be better, needs to sort the attack.

Try stepping out of you delusional bubble lads. Join us on the real world you wannabe scousers.

So it's not bcos of his poor form? I only ask bcos a week before his injury you said he deserved to be dropped for his poor form after he scuffed a shot. The next game he plays he gets injured and yet that cameo is now enough for him to be a regular again?

Mata has been dreadful recently though of course, suggesting so is blasphemy yo those who seemingly consider some players bigger than the club while screaming at the fact Rooney appears bigger than the club.

Just for the record. Rooney is here because of Moyes and tying us into a massive contract with god knows what kinds of clauses.

I agree Herrera needs more game time though. We are a much quicker side with him.

Treble doesn't slag me off! Astro does!

Actually many United fans have the same opinion of LVG that I have which isn't quite as negative as you think (as you don't actually read what people write, you just see a bit of criticism and assume it is LVG OUT, MOYES IN which is actually only going on in your head). Those with the same views as me on here just don't post as much as I do. Those who are match goers are people you'll never meet.

So now you want to turn this into a pi55ing contest for who more ppl agree with? Pretty sad you need that reassurance. The fact you equate any criticism as being a wannabe scouser speaks volumes about you as a supporter, and only confirms how insecure you are as a fan. Is that what all your jingoistic nonsense is all about? Is this place your footballing equivalent of someone who needs a big size car to compensate for something, UIR??

He was very poor that game and lucky not to get sent off too but he's been injured the past few weeks, thus hasn't played.

Hopefully he will be back soon.

Mata was dropped!

Rooney wasn't...

One rule for one etc.

Cowardly management.

Undeniable.

Sure Stan. Whatever you say.

How many do you know BTW? Of the 70000 United fans at old Trafford who share your opinion based on some made up guy?

I've been to three games this season and no one around me has ever been anything other than completely exasperated by the way we're playing.

I haven't heard a positive word.

We won two of those games.

I believe there has to be commercial aspect to Rooney being in that team. That is the only thing that I can think of. I know that many of you call LVG coward, but history tells you that the man has balls. He has shown that at United.

As for Rooney's form; Hell no blaming the manager's style for that!! How many times has Rooney been in front of the goal keeper and still can't hit a decent shot? Is that the manager? He actually played alright yesterday - his link up play was not too bad. But far too often in most matches, his first touches and passes fk up over when attacking.

Mata was dropped for Lingard. Some fans cried for such an event to take place. Same fans are now crying over something else. Moaning ****ers eh?

I can't explain Rooney. All I know is Moyes gave him a 6 year contract and were stuck with him. Can only hope he finds some form but the hope is dwindling, fast. Its not just Rooney though, others are equally crap right now.

Could that be the reason why he cannot be dropped? Guaranteed play time, perhaps?

I'm sorry to piss on your chips by introducing some facts but he hasn't been injured for the past few weeks at all...

It took Herrera a while to get a run in the team, during which time he was very good. He then had a mediocre game against Palace, including the fatal scuffed shot. He was then dropped for two games (the painful home game against CSKA and the marginally better performance against WBA when he came off the bench and played Martial through to win a penalty), seemingly for making that one mistake against Palace.

He was brought back into the team against Watford as Rooney and Martial were unavailable ie the manager had no choice but to pick him. He whipped in a beauty of a cross which Depay scored from. Then he got injured and our creative player noticeably subsided.

Yes but what do those people know?
