Come on lads. The club have constantly banged on about record revenues, big commercial deals, tv deals etc. we’re constantly told how well we’re run etc etc etc. But we don’t have a pot to piss in? I’m sorry, this just doesn’t wash with me anymore. Something isn’t adding up.
Look at the cash flows. theres plenty of profits but we are paying for our own stand and our own training ground and paying FSG back. Expected turnover is £580million for 21/22 wages will be 320mil or so.... its the creditors that need paying thats the issue. We will have cleared over 100mil more in the year last year due to the win to cl final etc and nike deal than the provious year but we are paying for the stand.
The moment was there to buy Tchouameni this summer (along with Darwin). We simply didn’t have a plan B in mind and think it was necessary to bring someone until it was too late. It’s on Klopp, the mgmt, the owners, everyone ..
I tend to think we're not that strapped for cash either, but that's just my opinion and I don't make any further assumptions based on it. Unless one of us is an insider at the club and isn't cracking on about it we're all just speculating.
all we have the is published accounts and we are waiting til feb next year to see the accounts for 21/22. the financial position is certainly no worse than any other club and a lot better than some that are throwing cash about in terms of debt and cash flow.
FSG said when they arrived they won't set budgets. When something (a player) comes along they'll way it up and make a decision.
I'm telling you now, we have less than zero chance against citeh with the squad we've got. I'm sick and tired of hearing that bloody Haaland's name being bandied about everywhere, I've actually muted his name on my Twitter timeline because there are Liverpool supporters going on about how wonderful he is Also - and I never thought I'd say this - I'd say we don't have much chance against Arsenal or Spurs right now, either. That's why I was glad when they postponed our matches because of the Queen's death. I know Chelsea have got problems and their sacking of Tuchel was nothing more than a disgrace but I still think we would have struggled against them. We farted about against Ajax and I was more relieved than anything we won that
You missed out Salah from that part. I don't think the high wage he's being paid now has helped matters, either, it must have pissed off the other players, human nature being what it is
Lovren? People wanted him out when he was with us because yes he was a liability. I don't get why people now want him back.
Salah's benched, comes on score a hat-trick against Rangers. I don't know where the Rangers v Liverpool thread is
