TMT, you're entitled to you opinions, but I have to agree with Ensil. 25 points in 9 games, it's a football miracle for us in the Prem !!!!!!! Yet you're worrying that we should have scored more goals. Just enjoy it, you may never see its like again for the rest of your or my life.
Don't get your knickers in a twist Ensil. I see nothing wrong with my post about Ade missing. It's part of the game isn't it? Leaving a thread because of that? Grow up a bit.
Well Pats,I remember getting very disconsolate last season went we went behind so many times so your answer is yes. City in the EL? We will beat them.
Hope so and would love to go on and win the EL too.I think we have a strong enough squad to do it this year.
I'd prefer that they were because they would be a good measure for us. If they don't make the CL next season or get kicked out this season how many of their prima donnas and ballerinas will stay with them? How many new top signings will they get? Would a footballer prefer the EL for more money than the CL for less? I would prefer Spurs to meet the strongest teams rather than the weakest ones because they're more of a challenge and much sweeter when we beat them.
I've only seen the goals, not the misses, but could they really be easier than his 2nd goal? He was only about a yard out.
The fact that he was only a yard out and couldn't miss says that he still isn't back to his true form yet spurfectionist. I'm only going on the post match comments etc. Take Torres at the moment. He's on shi**y form but if he scored from a yard out would you say that he's regained his form? I wouldn't. Ade hadn't scored in 6 previous matches then he gets one good one and one unmissable one but misses 3 easy ones and people are convinced by that. I'm sorry to be picky but I'm not at least not yet.
I'm not saying he's on form or not on form. I'm just amazed there could be chances easier than that one!
What the reports probably meant is that the ones he missed were easier than the first one that he scored.
Not for me, I'd rather win the trophy and to do that would prefer the easiest path possible. I definitely don't want City in the EL.
Ok GHoddle then let's differ. Beating the tough teams means nobody can criticize us when we win a trophy whereas if we beat doddle teams then it's"Oh you had an easy run blah blah blah" which I suppose is nothing thinking about it. I want good inspired football which is good to watch and I like teams which test us.
No it doesn't. The art of the striker is often being in the right place at the right time. It was a tap in because he had got away from his markers and found the space where the ball would come to him.
Fair enough As you say let people say what they want, I just want us to win something In 1981 we hadn't won a trophy for 8 years, we hadn't won the FA Cup for 14 years. The highest placed team we beat on that unforgettable journey was in the final itself, when it was City who fell to us, having finished 12th that year. So we didn't beat one top ten club to win that Cup, did it bother me on that magical night in May, no way! Did it bother any of the 60,000 Spurs there that night as Ricky scored the winner, I'd feel so sad for them if it did. 'Oh if only we had played Leeds, Man U or Liverpool tonight or on the way', how tragic for them if they had thought that as Villa went on that incredible run - IMHO of course. I was simply ecstatic, the best football night (or day) of my life, as my hero Hodd turned it on and we won the Cup in style, winning one of the greatest finals with one of the greatest goals It was also a crucial launch pad to going on a very successful run in the 80s.
The way Torres is playing, he'd still have somehow managed to miss. He's not getting enough game time.
