I didn't say they were our first game - i said we have then next in the NEXT GEN series.. and they are also in our champs league group
Jenko was playing at one of the liveliest grounds in the league and against the Kop's new bright young hope (for good reason too, Sterling looks like an exciting prospect). He had an enormous task on his hands and came through it unscathed. This time last year I had far more doubts about him, he seems to have progressed though.
He's learning his trade, having one of the best RB's in the game to study (Sagna) has obviously helped his tackling and positioning, i think having Bould around has helped out too, he's looked far more polished this season already. He's nowhere near the complete article, but early signs are encouraging.
