You know I don't usually agree with comments like that but yes basically. Asian drug gangs and knife crime.
From my experience the prize goes to Burnham on Sea in Somerest. Come back off the seafront into the town - what a depressing place. Just a thought........ ........A coach pulled up in in a pub car park and the driver got out and ushered a party of elderly ladies on a coach trip through the pub door. A well oiled old lag slumped at the bar shouted to him " Christ mate, what are you doing with that bloody lot?" The driver looked down his nose and indignantly relied "not that it's any of your business, but I'm taking them to Burnham". The old lag shouted back .........."what a waste - do me a favour and let me **** 'em first."
It's been like that since time immemorial, but my sources (the telly) seems to think otherwise these days. I'll beliieve it when I see it.
Andover, is in contention.... Tried to gentrify the place with 10,000 new homes in the past 10 years... They forgot to take into account the squaddies and the plebs... most of the shops have closed down....
Had to Google it to look at pictures. Doesn't seem to bad. Has a posh Pontefract (Wakefield) vibe to the photos.
My last (and only) visit was 15 years ago and the weather didn’t help, a grey misty piddling down sort of day. But I saw enough not to want to go back on a sunny day.
I live close enough to use the council tip. It’s bad, I’ll give you that, but really it’s league 2 compared to the Prem places like Wakefield, Dundee, Grimsby etc
