Come on, even the most blinkered United fan could not seriously try to put him forward as worst signing of the season....ffs It was silly money, but he is a decent player and he improved their defence thricely. They still aint the finished article, defensive wise, but anyone trying to say VVD is anything but an improvement needs their head rattling.

Everton have had some awful signings. Sandro Ramirez, Cuco Martina and a fair number of mediocre ones spring to mind, but Davy Klaassen was the worst, I think. Barely played and looked **** when he has. Adrien Silva was the worst "signing", as they didn't manage to get it done in time. Ridiculous situation. Kevin Wimmer for £18m for Stoke was very poor. Looked decent at our place, but he's been ****e at theirs. Llorente's flopped for us, but it's mainly down to being completely unsuitable for how we play. He'll probably come good again at wherever he ends up next year. Joe Hart's loan? Not that much cash thrown out, but he's been ****ing dogshit.
