What about Mr David Mail? It was early days for me but all I remember was sitting in the west stand family & listening to my old man & uncle rip into him every game... sure he ended up a milk man??! Trevitt is close but what about Chris lee? I was better then him when I was mascot for a game back in 94/95!
Up until at least 2006 he was a lorry driver for Jacksons/Sainsburys. Couldn't tell you about after that.
You never saw Dave Bamber play for Hull City then. Makes McLean look like Messi. But yes we have had some shockers. Gardner is nowhere near the list of bad ones but yes he has had some shockers as well for us. To be fair i did think his best games were with Turner in the first PL season when fit of course.
i think if we are talking worse players compared to their league position then Peter Halmosi takes it then Kamil Gilas - both were signed to play in the Prem.
Yann Ekra? He never even played for us outside of the reserves. And Sergio Leite shouldn't really make these list either, I only ever remember him making a single cup appearance.
Totally agreed. If you also chuck in Messrs. Bullard, Zaki and McShane and add up the total cost of all 5 to Hull City then the figure you shall end up with would have paid for at least 3 of the top 5 goal scorers in this years championship. Wasteful does not come close. As a meassure of quality to cost ratio these 5 were awful.
Funny how Aaron Wilbraham is still a part of the Norwich City PL squad and has a season ticket for there subs bench.
This thread made me think of Colin Alcide, which made me remember the absolute screamer he once scored - one of the best City goals I remember (through my rose tinted specs). I can't even remember who it was against, possibly Lincoln? If anybody can find youtube evidence of this goal (I've tried and failed) I'll be very grateful!
I wouldn't have put Croft in that elite company. Not the best but no where near the ineptitude of others that have pulled on the black and amber.
in general yes, but I will forgive him on the basis of a brilliant game in goal at Sincil Bank after the keeper got injured.
Is that the goal that resulted in the ball sticking in the stanchion inside the goal? It was a rocket. We've had much worse than Alcide.
If you're talking cost then for what he cost us it has to be Bullard, in technical terms one of the many ****e signings we made in the lower leagues could be chucked into the hat, I also think that Ibrahima Sonko on 30 grand a week plus loan fee to replace Turner MUST be considered one of the worst players ever to play for City.
