Redknapp all day long. He had plenty time to keep us up if he was any good. He bought a load of duds, then cleared off the following season leaving a mess behind. Ar$ehole. Mind you, Aberdeen had a manager about 10 years ago called Steve Paterson - he didn`t appear for a game against Dundee, because he`d been on the piss all night, and couldn`t get up.
Yup. Redknapp, pretty much took the squad of players that had achieved 8th and a cup final and labelled them Championship at best and delivered on that statement. The line about who has done more damage to the South coast Harry or the Luftwaffe really is apt.
Was tempted to say branfoot. But then he kept us up time and again. Should he have done better? Le tiss shearer flowers dodd et al. Probably. But i came along ať the end of the Nichols éra and Branfoot was my intro to saints.
Seems to me that this thread needed a poll. Think Redknapp would have won judging by the heartburn he is giving everyone.
See, that I could forgive. As human weakness goes, piss artistry is infinitely more tolerable than the mixture of avarice, arrogance, and rank self interest that defines Redknapp. And to think the guy actually came close to managing England. Thank God and the FA for Roy Hodgson.
Let's hope QPR don't get promoted...Redknapp has scarcely been on TV this season (perhaps he's sold his car).
Talking of piss-head Aberdeen managers, what is now Mrs AberdeenSaint was in a nightclub when a drunk Ian Porterfield breezed over and said "do you know who I am?". No, said Mrs AS. "Actshually, I`m managsher of Aberdeen Football Club", he slurs. "Oh that`s nice" said Mrs AS genuinely, "you`re that Alex Ferguson then". Doh.
For me it has to be Redcrap too. Although Poortvliet and Wotte did do a very poor job, there were certain games, namely Derby and Reading away, where we actually played some superb football and had me dreaming of the play-offs through total football. The sad thing was they did not have enough experience in the side to help the youngsters. I for one would have like to have seen one, or both of them given a role in our academy and youth set up rather than the managers helm as I feel they had some excellent footballing ideas.
