The worst I've ever seen live was Kieran Dyer's vs Bristol Rovers for West Ham. My brother lives in Bristol and I went to see that game. Was right next to it when it happened.

couldn't find a vid but Luciano Bertis crash in F1 at Spa was pretty horrible. Hit the tyre wall pretty much head on going bloody fast and got burried underneath the tyres. Think he suffered some pretty bad facial bruising but i think that was it though but it was still scary, i thought he was dead and it was worse because they took several minutes to get his car out of the wall so noone new what happened. Don't think he raced again after that

hes from seghill but he works at concordia in cramlington so I will be able to hunt him down if Gervinho makes the move here.

Jesus some of those leg breakers are horrendous!

My dad used to drink with racing driver David Pirley. He went from something like 120mph to a stand still in 24 inches and survived; was a world record.

His legs actualy folded back up towards his shoulders. My dad tells me he used to go abroad, and because he lost a chunk of bone, the doctors used to rebrake it in order for the bone to regrow! My dads mate also found that lump of bone after!

Mark Webber's somersault in an F1 car this year or last can't remember was the worst I'd seen live, can't believe he survived that unscathed.
Was there for Ben Arfa's but obviously had a bad view point from away end and didn't know how serious it was til full time.

I need to stop sharing so much info with you bastards <laugh>

I have seen a kick boxing match on YouTube where one of them kicks the other and his leg just flops.

The worst I have seen was my mare snap all his ligaments in his right leg, he was done for over a year but started running and playing with his left foot, he is now the best two footed player I have met. The pain on his face was horrible, I was only 13 so was in tears at him screaming. The lad who did it was devastated, unintentional but he felt sick. They have since become best mates.

i chased my then best mate in front of a ford siera when i was a kid and it snapped his ankle. it wasn't flopping about or anything but i was in total shock and my first reaction was just nervous laughter. followed by the worst kind of guilt as he'd been running away from me chasing him at the time. he had pins through his ankle for months.

The worst sporting injury that I have ever seen actually happened to me. It is also resulted in the most embarrassing moment of my life

I used to play for a local amateur rugby team and the injury happened at training. We were practising tackling and as I side stepped the defender, he fell back and just tried to grab any part of me. Unfortuantely he grabbed my penis. This would not have caused a problem if I was wearing my rugby shorts, but on this occassion I only had on tracksuit bottoms.

I can honsetly say that I have never felt so much pain!!

When I looked at the injured area I nearly passed out. The skin had been ripped off my nob, not at the dangly end but near the end where it is attached to the body. The split was about half an inch wide and around half the circumference of my member. It looked just like the skin coming off a sausage, but you could see all the exposed veins.

First I had to clean the wound, so as I was dirty and sweaty from training I jumped in the showers. When the water hit my willey it can only be compared to having dozens of needles repeatedly stuck in it.

Realising that this was not going to heal by itself I had to get it treated so I had to go to A&E. The receptionist who took my details when I first arrived nearly pissed herself when I told her why I was there.

After waiting around for several hours to be seen, 3 selfish bastards had heart attacks that night so I was not treated for about 4 hours, I eventually saw a doctor. After examining my manhood he told me that if this type of wound had been anywhere else on my body they would just stitch it back together. However, if (by some miracle) I got an erection with the stitches still in, the skin would probably be ripped again and could result in causing even more damage. Therefore he said that it would be best to use glue.

And so I had to lay on a bed with my trousers and pants around my ankles whilst a very pleasent young female nurse GLUED MY NOB BACK TOGETHER!!

Fortuntely my appendage has made a complete recovery but I still have the mental scars:emoticon-0101-sadsm

Pierluigi Casiraghi was pretty bad for Chelsea, don't think he ever played again.

I sliced my leg open with a stanley knife when i was 10. Was in art class and was cutting some cardboard on the desk, a mate walked past and knocked my arm, about 5 minutes later i looked down and could see a rip in my trousers, i opened it and ther was a 5 inch gash in my leg and i could see the bone, i flinched and blood pissed out everywhere, i stoopd up, yelled 'Oh ****' and fell to the floor. The teacher said it was the most appropriate use of bad language she'd heard.

I broke my tibia and fibia in a 50/50 challenge but can't link the photo from facebook.

    you win.

ive busted several ribs in an incident involving a mountain bike and a highly ambitious jump over a flight of stairs. hit the ground hard and the stem that hold the handles bars smashed my ribs in. i went VERY black and blue but never went to hospital turns out years later that my ribs were broken and as they weren't reset they healed in a funny fashion and as i grew they warped in a very odd fashion. i'm now the owner of the worlds least symetrical rib cage. i've broken fingers and toes too but never an arm or leg or anything. touch wood.
