He had placed around 20 bombs around the city, 1 exploded (the on stuck on his stomach) And he was standing alone in a alleyway
porthcawl in south wales..on a scooter rally..took me 9 hours to get there in the pissing rain on my vespa px200 .. couldnt have been more soaked if i had jumped into the humber....and when i finally got there the place was a dirty dump as was the camp site..... gypton in leeds....... what a slum hole that place is..... grimsbys ok because of beedspeed scooter shop......
Holloway, Kings Cross, Peckham, Lewisham, Tottenham, Stoke Newington, Hackney, Harlesdon, Kilburn and Eltham. Apart from them Londons not too bad a place. Oh yeah. I forgot about Great Yarmouth a very sad and nasty place.
I went to Uni in Wolverhampton and thought that was quite bad, but one night me and a couple of guys decided to got somewhere and we ended up in Walsall, man that place made Wolverhampton look like Dubai
Thread title "The worst Area you have visited" Hoadie Boi seems to hate everywhere including all the places he has never visited , mostly those given a mention by other people, which offers him the chance to add a droll comment . I told you he was just getting his points up "not across" lololololol Do me a favour Hoadie go to another board and leave ours alone . Most of your inane comments are just annoying and time consuming when trying to follow a thread.
Preston is ok, certainly not worthy of featuring in the top 3. I lived there for 3 years at uni, got some decent areas!
joining this a bit late so all the good (bad) ones have gone. Luton is the worst place I have had the misfortune to visit. A couple of others worthy of mention are Portsmouth & Southampton.
Never to late to join in, Oregon. Will probably get shot down for this, but, I think it was Luton they used to drive round for The Special's video for Ghost Town and the song was about the town, and Thatcher's decimation of the British Engineering sector! Off to put my tin helmet on now!!!!!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjfSucUhJiQ i always manage to wind EGD Wright and the other blind faith right wing warriors on CI
My old job used to take me to some awful places but my top three would be Skelmersdale, Lewisham and Easington (co. Durham).
Burnley was a big dump when I went to see City in our promotion to Prem season. Wakefield and Dewsbury aren't very nice at all either.
After Channel 4 got soo many complaints about 'The Best and Worst Place to Live' programme, because the picking and choosing was left to two berks that had never been north of Watford Gap, they simply decided to put a vote online for everyone to make their own choices... this is how it currently stands (worst places to live): 1 Slough 2 Barking & Dagenham 3 Blackpool 4 Rochdale 5 Newham 6 Gloucester 7 Corby 8 Luton 9 Herefordshire 10 Peterborough 11 Oldham 12 Kirklees 13 Blackburn with Darwen 14 Welwyn Hatfield 15 Bradford 16 Boston 17 Hounslow 18 Rotherham 19 Fenland 20 Limavady
I cannot believe that you are the only other person who has thought to put Peterborouhg down, I can only assume that no other person who has commented on thie thread has EVER been there, hwat a ****ing **** hole that place is, my god it's like the land that time forgot, a truly truly awful place and the people there....jesus, the gene pool would not suffer if that place were to be wiped off the map Another scum hole is Barnsley, people often accuse Norfolk folk of being inbred.....they need to go to Barnsley and re assess that idea big time
Or 'Rhino and fort' as two pisshead Scots called it at the weekend hehe. My vote for general awfulness goes to anywhere on the Medway (Tonbridge/Chatham/Maidstone etc, but Rhino is grim. I'm not a huge fan of Acton or Tottenham either!
I know what you mean about Norfolk, mate. I've lived here for over 15 years now and, in my experience, you have to avoid calling anybody - the person you're moaning to just might be brother/sister/in-law of said person! That said - whoever said Norwich was/is horrible has probs only been to Carrow Road and maybe the railway station. Norwich centre is OK - a bit like (a less wealthy) York.
Norwich definitely not a **** hole, have worked out of Naarch quite a bit and the town centre is very nice, other than riverside and prince of wales road, like you said it's like York, just in the middle of bloody nowhere
Middlesbrough has to rank amongst the worst, especially as it stole Hull's crown as 'Crappest Town in Britain'. Burnley was bad, most of London looks like Islamabad and a lot of the Lincolnshire nearest Hull is bad. (See Scunthorpe, Grimsby, Cleethorpes). Barnsley, Brat'fud and the parts of Leeds that are bad (which tbh doesn't amount to a great deal) are very bad indeed.
