Shack, if I could earn what I'm earning now back home in the north east I would be on the next plane home. I would have season tickets to the games for me and the kids for sure. But thats never gonna happen because they don't pay well enough in England for the jobs most of us are doing abroad.

So if you could earn back home what you earn now I summise that it's SAFC that would be the overwhelming factor that would entice you home?

Quick question to all you lads & lasses who live/work in the far flung exotic parts of the world... would you prefer to:

a)Live/work where you are & enjoy your lifestyle & follow SAFC on TV/Internet etc or

b)Live/work back in the North East & be able to go to the matches?

This is not a trick question so I can slag you off for not being a proper fan, it's purely out of a nosey interest on my behalf. <cheers>

A for me , i tried a move back to Sunderland about 7 years ago and it lasted about 6 months. Nowt to do with Sunderland, everything to do with England in general. PC bollox , couldn't get a decent paying job, chavs and i really didnt see my family as much as i thought i would. Better to see them for 2 weeks on the holidays then 20 mins now and then whilst running around like lunitics.

unless option c is available? win lotto, and commute

If I could get the same pay as I do in Switzerland.... and even then the quality of life i get while living in France would probably make me chose to stay here.

I work in NIgeria on a 4 week on/4week off contract and have 2 season tickets, only getv to see 25% of a season at home but i guess i get more than most expats. Bit of a pisser that the club won't cater for the likes of us overseas workers when other leisure companies do.
