For all their batting power, it's the Windows bowling which has been most impressive - as it was again today. Three spinners used today. All hard to score off. Plus Bravo who bowls the best slower balls and the impressive Brathwaite. Russell seems to get wickets too. Sammy and Samuels don't even get a bowl! That's 8 bowling options if needed.

The wicket did not help run scoring - impressive bowling from Bravo at the death

West Indies beat South Africa by three wickets
West Indies 123 for 7 (Samuels 44, Charles 32, Tahir 2-13) - South Africa 122 for 8 (De Kock 47, Bravo 2-20, Gayle 2-17)

Simple equation for England now - beat Sri Lanka and qualify for the semi's, lose and go home

Australia beat Pakistan by 21 runs in Mohali
Australia 193 for 4 (Smith 61*, Watson 44*, Wasim 2-31) - Pakistan 172 for 8 (Latif 46, Malik 40, Faulkner 5-27)
Pakistan go out

New Zealand beat Bangladesh by 75 runs in Kolkata
New Zealand 145 for 8 (Williamson 42, Mustafizur 5-22) - Bangladesh 70 (Elliott 3-12, Sodhi 3-21)

England beat Sri Lanka by 10 runs in Delhi
England 171 for 4 (Buttler 66*, Roy 42) - Sri Lanka 161 for 8 (Mathews 73*, Jordan 4-28)

England qualify for the semi-finals and should remain in Delhi for that game

India beat Australia by 6 wickets in Mohali
India 161 for 4 (Kohli 82*, Watson 2-23) - Australia 160 for 6 (Finch 43, Pandya 2-36)

India qualify for the semi-finals - Australia out

Afghanistan beat West Indies by six runs in Nagpur
Afghanistan 123 for 7 (Najibullah 48*, Badree 3-14) - West Indies 117 for 8 (Bravo 28, Rashid 2-26)

South Africa beat Sri Lanka by eight wickets in the dead-rubber in Delhi
South Africa 122 for 2 (Amla 56, Lakmal 1-28) - Sri Lanka 120 (Dilshan 36, Abbott 2-14)

Great power hitting from the Windies

Glad England play them in the final. Still tough, but India in their own backyard in conditions which suit them perfectly with Kohli in great form may have been a bridge too far.

England beat New Zealand by seven wickets in their semi-final in Delhi
England 159 for 3 (Roy 78) - New Zealand 153 for 8 (Munro 46, Stokes 3-26)

West Indies beat India by seven wickets in Mumbai
West Indies 196 for 3 (Simmons 82*, Charles 52) - India 192 for 2 (Kohli 89*, Rohit 43)

Yes I think I would rather play West Indies - as we bat down to 11, we just need to go for it from ball one

Should "England" drop Morgan for the final?

I know where you are coming from here - the obvious answer is no

I think however a question needs to be asked whether he should continue after the tournament?

It would be harsh though to dump a captain who wins a trophy? (if they win it)

He got 27 not out off 14 balls v WI and 22 off 16 v Sri Lanka - useful contributions and he looked to be striking the ball well.

But in this format, you get little time to play yourself in. If you get a good ball early on, it's tough luck.

You have to back ability and not stats. Morgan is as clean a striker of the ball as there is when he's in.
