Wow, that makes you a superfan.

I have a lot of friends from Scotland over here, mostly from a 120 player "Old Timers" (over 35) football league named "St Andrews".
Retired from playing at 70. Great lads - probably 60-70 % of the members , always taking the piss out of the other nationalities making up the rest. All in good fun. From Hull & district myself - came here in '72 via Hessle and Leeds and stayed.

Good chatting with you over the baseball. <cheers>

PS: In the post game presentation & interviews tonight, the Dodgers manager said "Baseball is the greatest game ever invented". I beg to differ on that one.:emoticon-0100-smile

I couldn’t watch it, I’m still gutted. I actually agree with Roberts, I think it’s much more humble than football these days tbh. When you go to a game, it’s much more than just a game.

Yeah, it’s been great to chat. I was born in Hull, lived in Swanland, Ferriby, British Columbia and Anlaby Road, then moved up here at a young age. I wish we’d stayed in Canada tbh. My Mum is German, but her family emigrated to Canada after the war. My Dad went to Trinity House, but grew up on Hessel Road and Bransholme.

Blimey, Anlaby Road after BC must have come as a shock!

Haha! It was more of a list, timeline wise it was Swan, NF, BC, NF, Anlaby Road. I liked Anlaby Road tbh, and I grew up around my younger uncles, who went to Kingston, around Graham Ave anyway, so was used to it. There was a huge difference though, yes you’re right. I lived way up north in BC too, not too far from Alaska.
